PC crashes after 5 minutes of Wildlands | Forums

Hi.
Not only does my game crash within 5 minutes of Wildlands, but my WHOLE SYSTEM crashes, so that my computer has problems even to reboot. This occured only since the last update of 6+GB and solely with Wildlands. Never had I such problems before. With no other game I had such crashes, and two days ago I could play Wildlands without any problems. Can anyone relate? Can anyone help?

@ahmed3hamdan : I can't tell you why your game crashes, I'm sorry. But it only occured to you AFTER the update, right?

@DefiledDragon : Doe's your whole system crash, like mine? I.e. I was modding a gun via Gunsmith, attached a new barrell and BOOM. Black. Whole system down. Couldn't even restart my PC properly.

@DefiledDragon : Doe's your whole system crash, like mine? I.e. I was modding a gun via Gunsmith, attached a new barrell and BOOM. Black. Whole system down. Couldn't even restart my PC properly.

Funny I should see this post, as I had mine crash three times in a row after the update yesterday. So this is how I fixed it for me.

Do a verify game files - local files first.
Turn off Cloud Sync and Uplay Overlay in settings.
Start game and pick your saved game (not just start the game)
If like me it's start and runs OK (I did mine for 30 minutes) close the game.
Recheck the Cloud Sync and if you use it Uplay game overlay.
Start the game and you should be OK.

That was how I was able to get mine working. Been playing all day yesterday and today with no problems. I hope this helps.

yes after the update only.
only the game crashes and close itself, the system does not crash
I tried what USASgtNickFury said but that did't work for me

As this is an older thread, you may not get a response from the user.

Are you seeing crashes in the game yourself? We'd certainly advise running through the steps in the guide here if you are.
