    season pass from uplay, main game via steam?

    Hello all.

    I know i can buy the season pass from uplay, while having bought the main game via steam, but..
    Someone says that the dlc remains locked if i buy the season pass via uplay, instead of steam.
    But on uplay i have 2, 20% discount codes laying around, so wanted to use that one.
    So, can someone help me with this, should i buy the season pass from uplay while having the main game from steam?

    It "should" be possible tho, since i read topics here and there from other games where this was possible.

    Btw, dont come with reply's like that i shouldnt buy the season pass cuz the dlc's are crap I want to spend my money on the season pass, so i will get it eventually

    Hey Mara!

    So a few things:

    We have identified an issue where players who have the base game on Steam, though have purchased the Season Pass through Uplay are possibly having issues launching the DLC. We did add this to our Known Issues thread as something the development team is investigating. Though, I cannot give a guarantee for a time frame of this being updated or a possible work around other than owning both on the same channel. I know that may give you a bit of a tough situation since you want to use your codes and the time frame might be a bit sticky. I'm going to move this over to our PC tech forum as well since this has become a topic lately.

    then its best to buy the season pass through steam i think.. Its 10 euro's more expensive, but so be it then...

    yes that is the best option I fell into this trap spent most of yesterday on the phone between ubi and gmg and companies customer service was less then satisfactory GMG wont give me a new key but they probbably could if they tried & they wont refund me so as a result they will be getting a bank call from santander middle of next week

    & ubi wont give me a steam key despite the screen shoot proof & evidence of what went on and showing that I had paid for they could make the effort to get me a steam key or transfer my game over to the ubi client with the season pass

    there are ways both companies could of resolved this for me but they choose not to

    £25 down the drain

    as a result I wont be making any future purchases from either company unless they turn around & resolve it for me also

    Season pass from uplay, main game via steam?

    Aloha all,

    Unfortunately I am having the same issue with the season pass. May I ask, has the issue already been fixed? The Known-issue-List of July 25th shows a green [fixed] for the problem and tells us to contact support.

    Well, I did so and the (German) support told me that there is no fix available and that I should have bought the season pass on the same platform as the original game.

    Given that there is information on the internet available that indicates that it did work for some of the other Ubisoft games before, I am feeling a bit lost here.

    Any update is therefore highly appreciated.

    Immer noch Probleme mit dem Season Pass

    Hallo zusammen,
    bei mir klappt es auch leider nicht. Habe Wildlandys über Steam und habe bei Uplay den Pass jetzt gekauft. Kann man den schon was sagen, wann es geht? Bekommt man bei Uplay seein Geld zurück oder muss ich ihn jetzt auch bei Steam kaufeb und zweimal Geld bezahlen? Kann man das nicht im Store ersichtlich machen?

    Mit der Bitte um Hilfe und Rückantwort

    All right,

    Today I received the final answer of the Ubi support, which I would like to translate analogously. Hope to save at least some folks time and money.

    "Issue investigated and no technical problem found. Player was not able to start DLC because not all content was bought from the same platform. The problem is fixed in the way, that players will be enlightened with that fact. It is unknown whether players will be able to buy and use content from both platforms in the future."

    original answer:
    "Es wurde festgestellt, dass es hierbei kein technisches Problem gab. Die Spieler konnten das DLC nicht starten, da diese, genau wie Sie, nicht alle Inhalte über die selbe Plattform gekauft haben. Das Problem ist somit gelöst, dass die Spieler darüber aufgeklärt werden. Ob es in Zukunft möglich ist Inhalte über Steam und Uplay zu kaufen und vollständig zu nutzen, ist mir leider nicht bekannt."

    In other words, as Burj1981 pointed out, money down the drain. <sarcasm>Stupid player, why did you not read all the hints and warnings before throwing money at us? Oh wait, right, there were no hints and warnings. Stupid me. And what a great support! </sarcasm>

    Well at least no more bad feelings in case other players are going hard on Ubi in their reviews. For my own part I shall re-consider my buying behaviour with Ubisoft games going forward. As usual, no big loss for the big players but I think I owe this to myself.

    DLC Issue

    Looks for me like making money, sorry.
    The Accounts of Steam and UPlay are connected through the UPlay profile. Also the deinstallation and installation is connected with the Steamaccount. So you know where the
    folder is. Why is it a problem to tell the UPlay launcher where to install the DLC´s or even allow to install the game through UPlay if you can´t find a different Solution. You already know i own the game and payed for it. Should be just setting some flags.

    Same issue. They do not care. After 1 hour explaining to MikeLo, It's obvious that it's just money on the bank to them. I'm never buying another Ubisoft product again.
