Problem:

I needed to look up something about the game while playing, so I alt-tabbed out to try to open a browser window. Normally, (on my previous windows install, cuz I reinstalled a few days ago), this is not an issue, and the game continues to run in the background.

When it crashed, the game appeared to still be running, including sound, but I saw no taskbar, start button, or anything else, and I could no longer interact with the game. I tried to alt-tab back to the game, but when choosing it in the alt-tab list, it turned to a black screen, and remained unresponsive to any input from me.

alt-F4 didn't work, and I couldn't access task manager to force quit the game, because regardless of what app was chosen from the alt-tab menu, only the game window remained visible. Everything else continued to hide behind it. In the end, my only solution was ctrl-alt-del, and choose sign out.

Note that I turned of DX11 support, because that kept making the game entirely unstable (would crash to desktop constantly). if I don't tab out of the game, it runs with no problems, and no crashes.

EDIT: My apologies. this happened when pressing the Windows Logo key on my keyboard to open the start menu to get to my browser, not by alt-tab. This should've minimized the game the same way alt-tab does, but crashed it instead.
