a BUG with the HUD in update 3.5

First i wish to give credit where credit is due.
The latest patch has implemented a LOT of the HUD toggles we wished for over and over again. the ability to remove a lot more individual UI elements independantly and having the ability to syncshot with the HUD almost completely off is a HUGE advancement for me with the enjoyment of the game.
i just wish UBI has acknowledged the HUD issues before hand so we would know its been looked on, but i will take issues that were not acknowledged and fixed over the other way around.

However there is a glitch or a bug or a mistake with the HUD - the detection meter, these brackets that show where enemies are detecting you from can not be turned off at all. even with the HUD completely OFF you can always see these brackets. im 100% sure this is a mistake. unintended. I hope this gets fixed in the next update since one of the points of turning off enemy markers was to NOT know things a real operative wouldnt know on the field.

    And another thing -
now you cant see tagged enemies on the tacmap or the minimap. while i do appreciate that the minimap doesnt show the enemies that you tagged if you remove ENEMIES in the menu, i kinda felt that it was fair to see them in the tacmap at least. now the drone has too little purpose at tagging enemies. not a big deal but it gave tagging a purpose - i could see them on the tac map.
Crossing fingers that this will be included as another option or something.

Again - Thanks UBI for trying to fix this issue and for the most part - you did a great job.

    This sounds really hopefull!

I'm sure the brackets are a mistake.. since they are always off pre patch 3.5 when you play hudless.

I would love to know if and when this update will come to Consoles? Or maybe this 3.5 pc patch is sort off an in between patch and consoles will only see the 4.0 patch.

Anyway.. I'm hyped! Since the Sync shot and Hud stuff of hudless players was my nr one requested fix.
With that fixed I can finally enjoy the rest of the story missions the way I want them to play.

Good job, I guess!? That's a surprise for me really but it is a small sign that You are still taking feedback to the community into consideration even if it's a small step in the right direction.

Apart from what everyone said I have just one request to the hud options: add an option for "playing with hud OFF options" to see a visual indicator when the player got hit - in real life when soldier is wounded he know, more or less where was hit - this is a necessary improvement in my opinion so players will not get annoyed anymore because they will know (approximately) where enemy is shooting to them.

being unable to tell where i was shot from was an issue i had also - in update 3.5 you can see where you are hit from. i am not sure which settings determine this but now there is a visible que, thank god.

my fear is that UBI will attach the detection alert to this meter and when we turn one off we turn off the other, or some other silly decision.

i am not sure which settings turn off the hit direction red arrow, though.

That is great to hear! Being able to see where the player was shot is the only accessible feature that does not insult old shool players from the gameplay stand point in my opinion.

Yes, that detection alert meter must go away from there or at least Ubisoft give us an option to disable this part of the gameplay but don't force us to play with detection alert when playing with NO HUD options.

I don't have the game so I can not check on my own: Could you tell me that you can mark sync shot other enemies while grabbing an enemy around you? I do not know if that was a bug or intentional design limitation but you could not do that action in open beta a long time ago. Is that fixed now?

I love all the new HUD toggles and that finally sync shot works without a HUD. Thanks devs.
