so lets leave all the "its wrong" comments on the side and concentrate on the game here. to me it is of particular importance to have accurasy in a flight sim, so because of this i've been trying to find a way to add swasticas to all the german models in a variety of ways, but all have failed. I tried adding them to the void models that each plane has in its own DIR, using photoshop, only to find out that they do not get included on the generated models during game play. now i know they were excluded on purpose, but for those of us who want to have them, there must be a way to add them on. just what is this way is my question. is there a config file that deals with markings alone(judging from the "markings ON/OFF" option, there must be), and why cant the void models be modified to carry them. maybe because the voids are blank, the added marking gets covered when the model gets skined for the particular mission. I dont know, but i would really, really like to find out.
so in short(sorry for the long text) can markings be included with the standard markings patterns, and still be applied to the void models, after they get skinned?

The easiest way I have found to add historically correct markings is to dl IL2Stab.

You can also use IL2 MAT.

Plus you get the added weathered markings as well.

IL2MAT.. dont take off without it!

Does that Stab work with AEP? I noticed it works with patch 1.22. Or does it still need to be upgraded to work with AEP?

Yeah, many European countries have laws against games with Nazi imagery. I remember this being a big deal when Return to Castle Wolfenstein came out.

There is no restriction in using own Skins with own Markings if needed at all. The Format must be indexed bmb 256 colors 512 x 512 or 1024 x 1024.
Everything not in right Format is not shown extension must be bmp.
Then turn markings off cause they are really bad quality compared to the skins itself if done well.

    thanks alot all
i tried stab, and it works fine, however the weathering effects offered with il2mat is deffinetly something i want to try. so this brings in the next question, can stab and il2mat function properly together, cause stab, has some very neat optios along the side of the markings.
its true what hyperion is saying about the quality of orig. markings, but you would have to modify virtually every skin to get the better quality.where exactly must these entries be put hyperion?
