And still you're saying that cheating by finding a cheat that is not officially called a cheat because no one has foresee it and thus didn't put in a rule book is good thing and should be happening. Of course this isn't against official rules. But this is wrong behavior because it makes people focus on finding ways to bypass normal way of playing instead of...playing. And this happens in every aspect of life. You're whining that Ubi is screwing you and tries to get money from you...this is the same thing. Why don't you agree with that? They just 'exploit' things. They have their therms that states that bugs can happen and they are not responsible for them and any damage that they can cause. Each software company has something like that. And it's really the same way of thinking...Stupid human way of thinking that puts only own interests even if that means hurting someone else more or less, this way or another.

Would you kill someone in order to gain something you really, really want knowing that you also know a loophole in law that would drop any charges against you and your action?

Using exploits to win is part of normal playing for me. I play a lot of fighting games and your position makes no sense to me. Players compete. It's not their job to balance the game or determine what the developers might be thinking.

If you think how some one else is play is hurting you that you have to resort to a murder metaphor, I will suggest you get thicker skin. It's not personal. It's just what competitive gamers do. This is, like it or not, just your opinion and other people believe otherwise. If you tried to get people to stop using exploits in Evo, you'd have a very tough time to put it lightly. No one cares about exploits there. It's healthier for everyone, you especially, to just adapt to them and move on because you can't force your perspective on anyone else.

Look if someone enters a tournament they are going to either exploit or be exploited. If you insist on your over the top analogy with the murder then it's the same as going to war. Either you kill or get killed.

No, I advise against anyone learning it.

If there is one case being "honorable, even at loss" is the thing to do, it's in face of bug, glitch exploit/abuse. Having a brokenly OP powerful skill is one thing, using a "tech" that's actually really a result of unintended bug is something entirely different.

Advocating and proliferating use of bugs and glitches is something no real 'competitive' gamers ever do. It's the equivalent of doping in sports, and there's no excuse for that crapshi*. More strict communities/forums actually even kick people out for promoting that sort of thing.

So don't learn that shi*. Either you accept the class is limited, and go with its limitations and challenge yourself to just how much you can pull through with skill, or don't play it at all. Provide sound opinions, suggestions, feedback to devs, hope for improvements, and if it doesn't come and that disappoints you, you can always leave and move on to some other class.
Are you saying that Skorbrand is a fake competitive player who has won a tournament using bugs?

Now back to the topic of countering lb. Does anyone know if kenseis superior block into gb would work against the light after shove. I know assassins can deflect it. If the lb decided to gb instead it wouldn't be confirmed because kensei has a forward dash into gb.

I don't know, but remember our animations, and thus moves, are not as fast as assassins' ones.
I found myself too often trapped by my animations (recovery, movement) so I can't imagine your idea to succed, Chucky

I tested it out today and kensei can in fact use his superior block on the light after shove. It is extremely hard tho cause you have to match guard direction and dash in an instant.

Those bugs are super hard to pull off unless you're using macros tho...not really viable if it only works 3x/10. Either way I think we're talking about high level play here, because a highly skilled Kensei could still beat any random player using a top 5.

I even find it easier to parry this stuff actually, probably because the SB duration is so minuscule now...

Grasping Pounce into Helm Splitter feint is easier to pull off, though it's still inconsistent.
