@kweassa1917: Made a long post, but the infernal auto-logout kicked in, and ate it. So, long story short: The LB was weak before 1.5/1.6. Clearly, otherwise the devs wouldn't have buffed him (the damage and speed buff definitely needed to happen). Shove back then couldn't guarantee anything. And if the hyper armor allowed a LB to cancel your chain? Big whoop. You dealt damage, while the LB did none. Under such circumstances, the HA provided no major benefit; it wasn't overpowered, so why would there be a need to remove it?
The only reason the HA could be a legitimate, major issue (and not just a personal gripe) is because of the unblockable light in block>Shove>light. Remove the unblockable light, and everything is hunky dory, in my book. Though if that happens, the light needs to get its old hit box back.
Now, your issue is just with the HA on Shove, right? Why? There's HA on other characters that are just as, if not more potent than the LB's Shove. Warden's charged Shoulder Bash, perhaps? It does lead into a guaranteed top heavy, after all. And how about the Warlord's HA on *ALL* heavies. But of course, the Shugoki beats them all with his constantly regenerating HA.
One last little thing; I see what you mean about Long Arm. Once it connects, it can't be stopped, unless you kill the LB. But, the same applies to the Shug's Demon's Embrace, which honestly, is far more devastating than the Long Arm and any follow-up. Demon's Embrace gives a Shugoki a four bar health swing between him and his victim, easy. If he's low on HP, maybe more.
