Has anyone with an older computer, say, 3 years plus and with lower specs have this issue? Most of the posts I've seen to-date from people like me, suffering this freeze/crash/pc boot issue, appear to have medium to high end specs, especially with the Nvidia GTX 980 and 10 series. Just wondering if its connected?
Is there any solution of the non-OS hard disk installation problem? Are they working on that at all? I think I'll never buy a Ubisoft game again.
I've made a try again.
Well they did. It looks like OK now. Reinstalled and it works for me finally. Thank you.
Just got my tech support response from Ubisoft.
"In order to fully troubleshoot the problem that you are having, please try the steps below:
1. Disabling your background applications:
Go to the Start menu on your Desktop. Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter.
Go to the Startup tab.
Click the option to Disable All.
Press Apply, then Close and pick the option to Restart.
2. Clearing your temporary files:..." Sound familiar?
Considering that I stated in my original communication, "I've tried all the hotfixes recommended on the Ubisoft Ghost Recon Wildlands PC Tech Support forum" and that Ubi's response is clearly a verbatim repetition of those same hotfixes without a single reference to the specific problems I mentioned (ie, the bug that locked my game resolution, the similar issues impacting other Ubisoft titles),
and considering that theirresponse includes instructions on how to create and attach the exact same dxdiag and msinfo32 files that I included in my original communication,
it's obvious that Ubisoft decided to wait three days to respond to my tech support ticket with a completely useless form response lacking in any technical insight specific to my individual experience. My takeaway from this communication is
1) Ubisoft has no interest or intent in fixing what can only be characterized as a catastrophic attempt to port a console game to sell to PC gamers, and/or
2) Ubisoft has no competent technicians on staff capable of interpreting dxdiag and msinfo32 files, much less offering any constructive instruction based on the analysis of those files.
Ubisoft got our money. They're not going to do anything to make this right for us.
Absurd ... unfortunately will make the end as the division.![]()
Tried starting the game for the first time in a month, it crashed 30 sec in yet again.
This is the last game i will EVER buy from ubisoft.
I have tried the "hot fixes", and the standard list actions Ubisoft give. I contacted Support and sent them the dxdiag and msinfo files and cleared temp files, disabled start-up programs etc. etc. All to no avail. Today I took the drastic decision to reinstall Windows - just in case.
So installed GRW again. After 4 mins of gameplay, game froze and there was a pop saying "files may be corrupted". I clicked send crash report button.
Tried to reconnect but then got an "Oruro-01000" error message, then Uplay said it couldn't synchronise files. Got back into the game and lasted 2 mins with a Uplay pop up saying "failed to synchronise cloud saves".
Restarted the game and lasted 8 mins before another pop up saying "files may be corrupted". I ran the verification check - and it said it was successful - NO ERRORS.
Right now, I'm at my wits end. I cannot understand why GRW is the ONLY game that has these problems.
ALL drivers are up to date.
My internet connection is cable 150mbs speed.
GTX1080
16Gb RAM
Just gave the game a spin to see if anything had improved with Wildlands. Last patch was in March? I guess Ubi has completely given up on this title. RIP Ghost Recon franchise.
