The thing is. I set mine as a steam controller and when i disable xbox layout i cannot use it anymore. Why is that?

I am using a an xbox one/pc controller made by pdp
But i got the game on uplay, so the situation of using steam to make a game on uplay work, kinda confuses me

This is probably because you are using a third party controller. Here are the supported peripherals for FH. 3rd party controllers aren't officially supported through FH.

I have nearly the same issue. I could handle this problem with the options from For Honor. I have simply went to the Options -> Controls -> Controller Type. There is a little help section, which show you how to configure this option. I set it to XInput (I have a XBox One Controller) and everything get back in work.

Just make it where the game is runnable through steam. Add it as a not steam game and it allows you to use the controller support
