I seriously don't know what you all are talking about. The main game is about as realistic as you can get. I haven't played Narco Road yet, but who cares about it being light-hearted. This is a game after-all, so you shouldn't be taking it that seriously in the first place. The main story is really cool and I've not experienced any repetition yet, which I was afraid I would. I'm probably about 80 percent complete so far, and that's pretty good for not experiencing the "same old" that games like this typically suffer from. Most of you have mentioned it, the open world environment is amazing, weapons have a nice feel to them, and enemy AI act as close to normal as they can.
The only issue I have with the game is how the vehicles perform. Hopefully that'll be addressed soon.
I see a lot of posts here regarding character customization, both our main character and the friendly AI. We're not playing Barbie and Ken here, so why???
You all need to settle down. I, for one, am loving the game so far.
Simple to answer. Tactical flexibility.Originally Posted by Force58 Go to original post
I want one of my team armed with a grenade launcher, another with an LMG perhaps, another dedicated to sniper or perhaps I fill any of those roles and one of the team fills the assault role.
Getting a mission, selecting loadouts specifically for it.... is it night time? Will I need more stealth? If I had the option, I'd kit out my team accordingly then when I'm sycronising for a take down I know I'm limiting my options to only those with a sniper rifle for example.
Options, realistic restrictions etc.
When someone talks about Customising Characters they don't mean playing dress up.
Ive been a Ghost Recon fan Since GR advanced warfighter, which i think is one of the greatest shooters, all that game needed was a running option and a melee and that would be best game ever.... Now future soldier was a great game too, Wildlands has been awesome, reminds me of the advance warfighter mechanics when it comes to movement. THIS GAME IS DYING FAST! WE NEED PVP NOW! ACTUAL GHOST RECON GAME MODES IE.......TDM, LMS, DOMINATION, MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL NEEDS TO HAVE A SIEGE MODE AND SHOULD BE A 8V8 AT MINIMUM. THIS GAME CAN HAVE A HUGE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS , ESPECIALLLY IF YOU ADD PVP GAME MODES. EVERYONE SHOULD BE AGREEING WITH THIS. IF YOU ARE A GR FAN KEEP POSTING THIS AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET PVP ADDED ASAP...... x NoToi2iOuS
Ubisoft doesn't understand what a beta is or its purpose. Look at For Honor for example, the beta came out a literal day before the game was released with a great many glaring issues. Ubisoft, in my opinion, has only produced demos instead of betas. The sole purpose of a beta is to give the player base an opportunity to experience the game and give feedback about what needs tweaking here and there, things they need to add, things they shouldn't etc. Ubisoft has not once put a beta out in enough time before the actual game release to fix the glaring issues and many consumers still say "Its just a beta the issues will be fixed in the full game" but we've seen how thats turned out. Not a super strong relation to what you said but it does have to do with listening to the community.
Yeah, I'd like to point out also that an overwhelmingly large percentage of the problems in Wildlands were telegraphed, pointed out, and critiqued on these forums long before the release of the game. I know for sure that I gave constructive criticism, especially after I was invited to and attend E3 and the separate Ubisoft event last June. Over the course of development, we were presented with these various lines from Ubi staff:
1.) We will pass this along to the development team.
2.) Keep in mind the game is still under development, things can still change.
3.) The developers have a vision for the game, changes will be implemented only if they fit.
We talked about everything leading up to release - the need for realism, loadouts, stealth/social stealth, squad commands, helicopter flight controls...literally everything. All the topics, all of the discussions, were basically for nothing. I've no doubt that the ComDevs and Community reps/managers did their jobs and have relayed things to where they should go, but it seems that from that point forward nothing much seemed to happen.
Again, almost everything people critique about being bad or poorly implemented in Wildlands was talked about leading up to release. Will that change? Can it change? I highly doubt it at this point.
Since a few years we all know a "beta" from a big publisher is just a demo and a way to give people an exclusive feel when playing the closed beta first. And maybe also a bit of (MP) infrastructure testing. It has nothing to do with finding bugs, changing gameplay systems etc. So I actually think most people don't know what the "new" beta is nowadays, and ubi knows perfectly well. A glorified demo and an opportunity to feed the hype and get media coverage. Nothing more. It's sad, I know.Originally Posted by Spectre_198 Go to original post
