Not sure if it's just me and the characters I play or what. I get 2 lights, a sweep or a shield bash, over and over and over. Anyone have a few pointers on this stuff? I don't play assissins much so dodging is somewhat limited.

That's what valk's do. You have to dodge the sweep
as a valk main, its all about dodging my shield bash and sweeps because you get a free GB and will punish me hard.
Be patient and dodge the shield bash/leg sweep. Even if they knock you down be ready for when you get up. If you can also block/parry their attacks even better.
