A skirmish style 2v2 actually sounds pretty damn fun.Originally Posted by sgtpickles Go to original post
A 2v2 with a victory to whichever team reaches a certain amount of points first wins.
But on to another matter.
2v2 is 2v2 for a reason...
I honestly played a couple brawls the way it was meant to be played and let me tell you I had a blast!
It honestly felt like a battle, having to worry about helping your teammate and defending against an attacker at the same time.
Ive had a blast playing like that, winning and losing to be honest.
If you want a duel, why not play duel?

Because some people like to play with friends and some people just like playing with teammates.
Everyone who decides to try out the brawl the way brawl is meant to be played ends up enjoying it. I suggested on the forums the other day to make matches best 4 out of 7 to make the matches last longer since 2v2s end pretty quick. People need to keep playing the game mode this way so people can get more experience in the 2v2 enviroment. It's the only way brawl will adapt as a game mode.Originally Posted by DuhSavagePickle Go to original post
I said it joking in another thread but here is the thing, when is the last time you heard of a brawl in (insert big city here) and thought they took it in turns to punch each other in the face? The name and the rules as they are presented are as far away as possible from two duels.
I understand that, but getting mad at people for playing a game type the way it was meant to be played is a bit counter productive.Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
This is where having the ability to talk using keyboard comes into use.
They can simply ask the other team to 1v1 honorably.
But when all is said and done, brawl was meant to be exactly that, a Brawl. The name of the game is literally in the title.
1. Just 1v1 your friend?Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
2. So brawl is played by all these duelers because they feel lonely? They need a teammate watching to be able to 1v1?
Come on man... lol.
Not saying you are wrong. I'm just saying that its not how the majority of the community wants to play brawl.Originally Posted by CandleInTheDark Go to original post
There are ALOT of us in the Honor crowd that just don't like ganging up on people. I gave up on not doing it in Dominion and Skirmish for obvious reasons, but outside of that I wait for the 1v1 and I always will. Its just that there are SO MANY people who play that way Brawl will never be what some of you want it to be.
Even IF they did spawn you right next to each other I am willing to bet a substantial amount of steel that most people would still play that way too.

Also I said play WITH friends. Not AGAINST friends.
Honestly I use to be one of those people who would get upset while trying to 1v1 in a brawl and getting jumped.Originally Posted by AgentCelt Go to original post
But then I joined a game and decided "why not" and played the mode the way it was meant and I honestly really enjoyed it even though me and my teammate lost.
It's just something about fighting along side your teammate and all hell breaking loose.
Its fun.
It's not really jumping anyone if it's a 2v2 fight from the start.Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
If it was a 1v1 and the other person comes out of nowhere and attacks, that's jumping.
You class a 2v2 as ganging up? How? It's a fair fight. Nobody has an advantage over anyone. It's a fair fight.Originally Posted by CoyoteXStarrk Go to original post
