Right now Brawls are essentially 2 duels taking place on the same map. They'd be much more enjoyable (and make more sense) if they played out like mini skirmish matches. This can easily be done by spawning teammates next to each other. It's called Brawl for a reason..

Brawl as it is with people waiting for 1v1s to end ensures the better team wins everytime. Thats how all modes should be.

And having a 20 minute stare down is better? You obviously play against bad people if you think dueling is fun in it's current state.

We've heard this feedback from several people. While I'm not aware of any upcoming changes to thins, we are always looking to hear the community's thoughts on it.

2v2 combat hasn't been given the chance to adapt because in every game mode it's either a 1v1 (Duel, brawl & elimination) or 4 v 4 gank fest (Skirmish & dominion). If brawl had a more pro 2v2 approach the way of playing would develop to suit the game mode. It hasn't been given the chance yet because every brawl game that you join is full of people that wanted to play duel but queued up for brawl by accident.

There are too many people like me who prefer 1v1 to the button mashing spamfest that is group fights and there are also a large number of players who are coming from games like Dark Souls where dueling was almost always carried out that way. You stand to the side and if the guy gets through your buddy you step up and see if you can get the job done.


2v2 starts of as dueling and thats the way it is treated by the majority of the community. If you want a group fighting mess mode then Skirmish or Dominion is just a click away.

The thing is the same logic applies, if you want a 1v1 duel, it is actually one less click to get one than a brawl and it is those people who are playing a game opposite to how it was designed and cussing people who went in for a proper 2v2.The problem is people get so salty over it, there was one video the other day, a shugoki decided he was going to oni charge his teammate because he wanted to play the way the game was actually designed and that BS was pretty damn sad.

While I agree that a skirmish type thing would be good to have as well as an elimination like 4v4 gets, again, why is it the fault of the people who read 2v2 and decided I would like a proper 2v2 battle? Because they are the ones playing the game rules as written.

2v2 starts off as a duel and that's the problem. It's been suggested countless times for the spawning to be fixed so you spawn next to your partner like what happens on the forest map. It's just up to Ubisoft now to take our suggestions into considerations.

I also don't understand why you can't just play Duel if you want a 1v1, that's what duel is there for.
