In the prepatch meta the gears won the fight for you, there wasn't skill at all.

    Whoah.

It's almost like the concept of "honor" in this game was completely made-up by a chunk of the playerbase, and has no bearing on the game's mechanics and development.

    Crazy.

U are crybabys complaining about Your low skills guessing that becouse your where unable to deal with 1 good player !
I repeat myself again u gankers without finesse and tactic are ruining the Fun of a lot people!

Don't be mad because he's got a point.

Also, I don't think the moderators would appreciate you breaking their "english only" rule.

Sentiments like the below, frankly I can only say it's just selfish to the core.

If the enemy team played better and managed to knock 3 opponents without suffering a single defeat, they've done their work and made it 99% to the finish line. They deserve to see the win. What the ROYAL F**K is the use for a team game when 1 person defeats all that?

From the moment 1.05 patch hit the PC I've seen ONE instance where someone with true skill, defeat 1v4 odds to win a dramatic game where both teams were over 1,000pts in Dom. Both teams breaking, 3 of us dead, all 4 of them alive.

It was a rare sight to behold, and you appreciate the skill and focus of that person. The opponent team was totally OK with it and actually congratulated us despite losing to 1 guy, because it wasn't some cheesy-as-F*** one-button insta god-mode. You want to CARRY the team? This is the way you do it. Instead of claiming you carry the team with broken gear stat.

Besides, if it were my team, I certainly won't rely on someone who is stupid enough to get ganked as someone to carry us. The weight of 3 other people is supposed to be heavy. If you want to carry it, "git gud".

Deny it all you like. Spit, cuss, condemn those who surround and "gank" you. The fact doesn't change. In the game there are numerous signs to pick up and read upon how the game's going. You ignore all that shi*, get target fixated or bloodthirsty for a single kill, chase too deep, get baited, lured like an idiot -- and that's when you get ganked. Swivel the camera around and you see that player icon from like what, 50 meters away? More than enough distance for a headstart to reposition yourself, but you don't do it.

The end result -- the lamb thinking its a lion, stray from the herd, picked off and slaughtered easily and foolishly, which is as exactly as he deserves.

You play like an idiot = the result is you get ganked.

So don't play like an idiot and then come to the boards demanding the game should make up for your idiocy.
So you hate the whole premise of revenge, we get it. Thanks for your opinion.

Ubi put it in the game for a reason. I thought I understood why it was there, but it was obviously too strong pre-nerf so it needed toning down. My opinion is they took it too far, where it now doesn't function like it was originally intended, that is to balance the odds when you're outnumbered. Now it's been gutted, people aren't worried about mindlessly ganking anymore, so now 4v4 modes are just gank fests, but apparently this is fun for some?

So if revenge doesn't deter ganking anymore, then why is it even in the game still? What purpose does it serve? To just delay the inevitable? It doesn't make sense anymore.

Yeah, because in real wars when a thousand soldiers fought against another thousand, the battle was basically a thousand 1v1s, right? Then they all patted each other on the back and went home. Come on.

Revenge still serves the purpose it was created for, the difference is, you still have to have skill to utilize it, it's not an all-magical I.W.I.N. button. 2v1s and 3v1s can still be won, not nearly as easily as before, but it can be done. As for 4v1s... dude, go kill some minions. That's like a 30v1 that is always winnable to satisfy your hero itch.

Are you really comparing this video game to real life war?

I'm not asking for revenge to be brought back to its OP state, we all know revenge was the only way to build your class before as it was simply too strong. You basically got stronger the more people joined in to gank, which was ridiculous.

There's a middle ground between pre-nerf revenge and what we have now. I expected Ubi to make slight tweaks over a few patches to find the right balance, but they just went ahead and nerfed every aspect into the ground to the point where it doesn't deter anyone from mindless ganking anymore. If this is the majorities idea of fun then so be it, but it's not my cup of tea.

Since it's mimicking some aspects of real life war, yes, I did just that.
I have a question ,though: while you are getting ganked, where is your team? And how did you get into a position where you were separated from everyone else, so most - if not all - of the enemy team found you, and only you?

Don't get me wrong, I get into situations where I get obliterated by multiple opponents, but it is mostly my fault for not paying attention or blindly running into an enemy group. I don't really expect revenge to magically correct my mistake, though. I'm happy if I take down 2 of the 3 or 4 before dying.
