    I personally prefer old revenge as I felt it made the focus on smart play not strength in numbers.

    it never should have been available in 1v1 fights, and sometimes it was exploited by skilless noobs but I felt it was exciting.

    now if I get revenge I just die 8 seconds later after the Lawbringer tosses my pancakes and his buddies chop me to pieces if I don't manage to sprint away (and I'm sure the *****ing will start about that soon enough).

    imo nerfing rev damage and duration would have been enough. the old defense buff was a-ok with me.

    I 1v2 people quite often in brawl and win. Maybe people don't know how to utilise revenge? People also know how to deal with revenge. Valkyrie can single handedly deal with revenge by knocking the opponent over with shield bash. I don't think I noticed a change in revenge to be honest.

    I think the main problem what ppl have with revenge is that they think its a super sayajin mode. Even the game tells you that its just a small help for survival. Small help ! When you are always outnumbered and have trouble fighting against more than 1 guy maybe you are doing something wrong and not the game mechanic. It is always the easy way to cry about nerfs and even easier as a group but face the reality revenge mode is not a I WIN Button. Revenge is not useless, almost everything works like pre patch, Headbutt, Sweep etc Knockdown into 100% Heavy spam. Light Spam Pk or charged moves you just die faster and dont one shot everyone anymore.

    Revenge is still a strong mechanic in the game and let you survive against multiple enemys. Even defeat them ! but its not meant to destroy 4 guys at once. And thats good. But still possible

    Revenge does exactly what it had done. Boost your defense to increase damage resistance, gives you a shield to absorb some damage, increases your damage output, and unlimited stamina and UI state (except against certain UBs).

    The problem you have is not with revenge.

    The problem is you've been accustomed to that broken shi* for so long that you don't even know how to defend yourself. Who needs defense or positioning when you can fire up revenge back-to-back for about 8 times in 2 minutes for 10 seconds each with only 5 secs downtime in between, and basically 2~3 shot anyone during activation and receive like a snot-sized damage even when getting hit by heavies?

    So when all that cloud of superiority goes poof, up in smoke and what have you got left?

    -- pride and ego that still clings onto the old days when you could 1v3 people with one hand tied behind your back
    -- disregard for even most basic of tactics
    -- inability to observe the radar, look around the environment
    -- zero awareness and inability to assess the situation and dangers of fighting superior numbers
    -- target fixation
    -- awkwardness toward defensive actions and range-control
    -- poor positioning
    -- uncontrolled and wild swinging in hopes some of your attacks will hit, since before 1.05, no matter how many times they hit you, you only need just mash the attack button and those some hits will kill, and you know you will still win.



    That's your problem here, not revenge. You'd see it if you just swallowed that pride and look at the reality of the fight that surrounds you. You're not a superman, nor a movie hero. You're just one combatant among eight, and two people are stronger than one, and three are stronger than two.
    I see, so after you wiped ubisoft ***z from your chin, you believe revenge mode is to "look for an opportunity to back away." Run away? You're ****ing mad. Ubisoft CREATED revenge mode to boost damage and defense so you could fight against 3 or 4 opponents. It's been the point of it since conception, through alpha and beta.

    Little ***** players complaining about people getting revenge every 10 seconds is what caused the nerf. It worked fine, yet to them it was op because they didn't know better than to gank someone. Everyone knew what revenge mode was, and did when the alpha & beta were live. So it's those players that don't know how to fight. You're probably one of them.
