Revenge mode is a joke now, it makes getting ganked harder to win. console just got the update so its a big shock to the system. normally it takes a lot for the enemies to kill me when in revenge mode and now you take damage way too quickly.Originally Posted by kweassa1917 Go to original post
You obviously have plenty of room to roll your eyes in your head. Lack of brains.Originally Posted by kweassa1917 Go to original post
Please, master, enlighten me.
Revenge mode just gives you a pathetic shield now, that's gone in 3 hits, and unlimited stamina. If your attack and defense stats for revenge are lower than your normal atk/def, your dead quicker than without it. This has been stated by PC players. You're the master so you'll know that stats no longer stack.
After playing for a week now with the the new revenge system, I can safely say they over nerfed it. Now its next to unless in any 1vX fight. It does not last long enough or give enough defense to hold a point for an ally to arrive and even the fight. You cannot even run away now because of the run speed nerf. The way it is now they should just remove it. Revenge was easily overcome with a teammate just spamming guard-break but now it does not matter just spam attacks. Revenge was only good in 1vX with classes with knockdowns or fast zone spammers not all classes. These new changes just promote ganking. If you like ganking then you will like the new revenge system. If you do not like ganking play versus AI, that way you do not waste 10 minutes staring at each other because of how OP parry is.
Agreed, tho i do believe revenge should stack with weapon dmg/def.Originally Posted by kweassa1917 Go to original post
While in revenge, unless your playing with new players at least one will GB spam you and they won't all attack at the same time so you can escape. Oh! Feel free to look me up on that For honor stat website. I've put way to many hours into this game. Also, there is no need to character bash just because someone doesn't share your opinion, especially when i gave an example and the reason why. Your counter argument was to take one sentence out of context and tell people not to get ganked.......Nerf applies both ways. So when both parties are nerfed equally, somehow you're the only one slower. Good logic. Show real credibility and objectivity that makes people want to believe you.
Agreed, if your playing just duels. The only thing keeping people "honest" was the revenge system and how punishing it was. What you talked about is a skill called situational awareness, but if there's a gank squad coming there's nothing you can do, assuming good players. Now the real question is - what is the purpose of revenge(it was a ganking deterrent)? Can I escape 1vX engagements? NOPE! Can I survive until my teammates get here? NOPE! Can I scare people away? NOPE! Can I go Super Saiyen? Yes! Yes I can. Do I think the new revenge is useless? Yes! Yes I do....Don't get ganked. It's easy if you try.
Well, tehcninally not "easy" since it actually requires a lot of thinking, but that's why we play fighting games. To think about how you can win and/or survive.
In summary, I am of the opinion that they over nerfed revenge.
The group fights I've experienced in dominion have been awesome since the patch. The flow is allowed to continue without people having to bolt or stop attacking.
In group fights, Revenge is a boost or disrupt or that can change the tide of a fight if you or a teammate pops it. In situations where you find yourself outnumbered, it can buy you the chance to disrupt and get the hell out of there, and saving your life. It allows you to possibly walk away from a situation you shouldn't have put yourself in(being outnumbered by yourself) or where your team fails you(they lose in team fights leaving you outnumbered). Sounds to me like it's working exactly as intended. Rewarding players for putting themselves in 1vX situations means it obviously was over absurd.
You see, the whole point of team games is teamwork. That is the added layer of complexity from solo modes or ffa. What do you do in other team games? You add players, you make groups, and make friends. Lol Jesus people the concept isn't new. If you're having trouble getting ganked, you could always find a group. All of the team games I've played, I've played with randoms except two and I'm digging it.
