Scavenger Crates lack depth and can be completely disregarded after achieving rep 5

I think that's a touchy subject that noone else tackled before. Scavenger crates are affected by following problems:
    - They are a COMPLETE waste of steel before rep level 3. Some poeple might buy a crate or two at rep lvl 1, but that's only to get at least few mediocre blue items to get them a little boost before rep 3.
    - They are COMPLETE waste of steel past rep 5 with a certain hero. From my experience, by the time I achieved rep 5 with a certain hero I already got 95% type of cosmetic equipment JUST FROM PLAYING THE GAME (loot). By rep 5 most people already have their hero customised equipment wise, therefore there is no thrill, no necessity and no reason to spend steel for crates.

Then why in the world would this be like the primary reward item in competitive gameplay? (upcoming ranked). I personally of course plan to attempt in climbing the ranked ladder however when I saw the rewards I was simply disgusted. 10 Scavenger crates - wohoo. For what? I bought a ****ton of crates on my first 2 heroes I got past rep 3 and i regret that deeply, because given that I kept playing with those heroes I could have save a lot of steel and still get all the purple equipment look I wanted. Just from playing...

So why attempt to reward the best players who aspire to participate in the competitive sceen with useless scavenger crates which most likely won't do anything good for the player who have spent hundreds of hours in order to get good enough to compete to begin with.

Why do we even get BLUE EQUIPMENT PAST REP 3. Why would anyone want ANYTHING BLUE past REP 3. This is like solely for the purpose of dismantling is it. The thing is if you play a hero up to rep 6 in any faction you most likely have enough salvage to supply every other hero that would ever get to rep 3 from that faction. Hell I HAVE 30 000 KNIGHT SALVAGE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT

I say you should make the Scavenger crates worth the buy regardless of the character rep level or having all the equipment styles in possesion. Here are my suggestions:
Opening crates should be accompanied with a little thrill therefore players should have a chance (even if it's a small one) for an actually rare find / unlock.

I'd say scrap the equipment slots for the lower grade equipment because getting 3 blue items from a crate while being rep 3 and above is like a slap in the face with a cold salmon. Instead of 3 slots for lower grade equipment there should be 2 slots for unlockables:
    - First slot will give you a random color unlock (common find) or a random symbol unlock (rare) or a random emote/execution for the hero (super rare)
    - Second slot will give you a random pattern unlock (common find) or a random unlockable ornament (rare)
Remaining 2 slots should always give you equipment of rarity you woulnd't be embarassed getting.

Small crates should have similar slot 1 and 2 with the diffrence of highest rarity being unobtainable from them (so only colors and patterns but no ornaments or emotes/executions). Remaining 1 slot should be the equipment of course.

Wouldn't that kill the reason to level up reputation and prestige of your character? Heck no, There are tens of dozens of colors or patterns and emblems and whatever, which would require you to open hundreds of crates. Besides people already complain about not having 12 hours a day to grind their character past rep 12 in order to unlock a certain pattern they like. I say give them the option.

So yeah. Make the crates worth it or simply reward people with steel for competing in ranked games, because if someone is bold enough to compete in ranked, the chances are that he has all the equipment maxed already with the exact style he wants.

I agree. The fact that after we get max gear we have resources just sitting there doesn't feel rewarding.

I think another thing to address what rep is. I sure as hell don't know. I also don't know how to level it up, why I'm now level 20, wait no I'm level 1? Rep. No wait again I'm level 5 because there's another number there. No f*cking information about the loot or leveling system at all. And Google is not helping.

I don't get this how come people come to this forums and cry for a nerf and yet Ubisoft representative responds to a poorly written rant, but when I tackle a serious problem with their pay model in form of scavenger crates nobody every acknowledges that.

Its only been a day. I had a bug post take 17 days without comments as well before randomly a mod made a post on it. They will just tell you to contact support and submit a ticket as "suggestion" \

    then hope someone reads it.

I find crates useless and have a stack of them myself that unless I start a new character will never use.
