Think of them as mercenaries who will work for whomever they wish.

Well, considering there is Garbs in the game that cost more than that, i would bet my $$ on 50k+ even.

If any new hero costs more than 5k steel, I'm done. As fun as the game is when it works, anything more than 5k would be insane. It's why I don't play Siege anymore. Everyone else is playing the new operators and I can't even afford to buy one of them because they all cost 25k in game currency. Anything more than 5k in FH and I'm selling the game. Only so much greed I can handle,

Thought about this too. But the Centurions cleary where allies of the knights. And also if you ( generally "you") might think, samurais dont fight aside with ninjas, they DO belong to Samuraiarmys.
But ok, when you think about the other "more or less leaked" classes. They COULD belong to a faction, but also couldnt hm.

So it doesn't matter what the Faction War is doing, the new characters are not part of that cycle, they are in their own DLC season that is unrelated to the Faction War and it's seasons.

I think in the context of the OP, UbiNoty's use of the term "current season" is the same season as the season pass. That is to say UbiNoty's "season" = For Honor Year 1. They're probably sticking to the original plan of releasing DLC at the end of each faction war season.

But yes. Only 2 new classes would be better in case of balancing !

The new heroes seem to be unrelated but yet very similar to the current faction. Centurion = Knight. Ninja = Samurai. The other leak was a highlander, technically a Celt but they were very similar to the Vikings.

I could understand being upset over 20 or 25k steel. I mean I think it will happen, and I wont be complaining since im expecting it. But to quit over 5k steel? thats saving up for a week playing casually.
And R6S is much harder to gain money in than FH.

I do wish though Ubisoft would lower the prices of the old "new" operators. Not to insanely cheap like the originals but I think 10k would be reasonable. 20 or 25k for Buck and Frost I think is a little cruel now.

The point is these new heroes won't have any extra benefit that the originals don't have. They'll all be balanced (I struggled to type that with a straight face) to be able to compete at the same level as the original heroes. So realistically they should also cost 500 steel. Anything above that is just being greedy because Ubi knows people will spend real cash just to purchase these heroes.

Plenty of Samurai were ninja's back in the day. Samurai is a social status, ninja is a profesion. It's just a spy from old Japan. So he would fit perfectly into the Samurai faction.

I don't care about the cost of the new heros I just want somthing new to play for. Not stupid useless ornimants that no one cares about!!!
