This is my first time uploading a post in a forum.
I really enjoy this game and have always been a fan of the Ghost Recon titles.
I appreciate GRW has to appeal to different type of players who may wish to add groovy skins to their guns, ride around in vehicles with flower paint jobs or dress like hulk hogan while attempting to blend in within the Bolivian environment, but for the LOVE OF GOD! don't forget about the other players who want to play this game AS INTENDED, being the tactical game it is.
Give us something please......Jesus!
I think I will start being a bit more active in the GRW forums to push our agenda to the devs with those who share my opinion.
Regards,
Jolly
If i love Ubisoft for something is that, they some times (and for a good reason) don't care about "fans" say. (fans advice isn't always better)
GR is an action game with some tactical elements to it, Ubisoft even said it on an interview.
Thi game has never meant to be an ARMA KILLER or a 100% tactical game and since GR 2 has been that way, action with some tactical elements,
You knew what kind of game you had on your hands, you don't like Narco Road? Don't buy it. Only get Fallen Ghosts and maybe wait for year 2 content (it may happen or it may not)
Also the statement you give about only COD players liking skins is wrong, Ubisoft did the same with Rainbow Six Siege did anybody complain? No.
Is not something you are forced to get, so you can play the game as "intended", don't get any skins, don't get narco road, don't get crazy outfits and play it by your rules.
They are not going to trash every single idea or plan they have just because some people don't like it. You may get what you want on the future but for now....wait for PVP and Fallen Ghosts maybe is some of those things are good for your rules.
Erm i think youl find on the Rainbow Six forums there were tons of complaints about the awful skins/masks added to the game.Originally Posted by LoneSpymaster Go to original post
Also your point about expecting Arma...erm none of us oldies expected Arma we expected Ghost Recon not a Far Cry / Just Cause hybrid.
We had the same with GR2 with pink bunny suits, turkey costumes and peg leg pirates. We also had similar in the original game where you could put massive comical heads on NPCs, turn your squad into paper thin characters and make them speak in high pitched voices. Don't forget the exploding chickens either. They were there, but you didn't have to use them.
GR has always been a serious game, for people liking tactical play and intense competition in PvP when that releases, but it has always carried with it a sense of humour as well so that we can get some comic relief from time to time. Adding some lighter elements doesn't take away what's already there as long as it's not forced on you. I'm not a big fan of what Narco Road is bringing, but it won't effect me much. I'll give it a go, but the rest of the game will still be there.
Who made this comment? lolOriginally Posted by LoneSpymaster Go to original post
I talked about keeping additional content fair to appeal to all type of players, I'll reserve my opinion on Narco Road once I've played it, not one to rant before trying something buddy.
My opinion is shared by many while I respect those who like to get colourful....lol
Honestly i dont remember a single person jumping about with Bunny Suits, Turkey Suits or Pirate Legs in Ghost Recon 2, Must of just been your clan/lobbies lolOriginally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
One thing to keep in mind, and this might be a stretch, but gaming has gone down a road where customization is one of the top driving forces of people playing video games and the industry has soared with skins and customization options. Ubi even placed it within their surveys to gauge the level of importance it is to players.
One of the top competitive shooters, Counter Strike, has an insane skin economy as even though everyone enjoys the same game, there are those who practically play just to get the most notorious skins (and people pay big money for them).
By asking for something for the tactical players, Ubi might argue everything we need is already in-game. I personally think there could be some updated/tweaks to make things better, but tactician wise I am unsure what else I would want outside of the competitive MP to be brand new in the game. What do you think would add to it? I'm all for meaningful free updates that makes the game more intense![]()
