    R6 Community Discusses : Presidential Plane

    This discussion will focus on the map Presidential Plane. This series has been added to the R6 forums to facilitate discussions in the community involving operator use, gadgets and strategy that often get buried or lost in the abundance of others posts that flood the forums.

    The goal of this series is to not only give new players a primer on a specific operator or map, but also for mid-level or competitive players a chance to share the knowledge that they have accrued in their experiences and maybe let people know something that they did not know before.

    For this edition we will discuss Presidential Plane.

    Below are some discussion points we would like to see responses on from community members that decide to respond. Feel free to discuss other information that may be helpful to the community about this map. Posts that do not contribute to the healthy discussion of this thread will be removed.

    1) In your opinion, what is the best area of the map for defenders/attackers?
    2) Which Operators shine on this map? Which operators have you struggled with here?
    3) The camera placement, how well is the map covered by defender cameras?
    4) Objective placements, which is your favorite location? Least favorite?
    5) Which game modes do you prefer on this map?
    6) Spawn locations. yay or nay on the current locations?
    7) Has this map made you play the game differently?

    1) In your opinion, what is the best area of the map for defenders/attackers?
    ---The best room for defenders is Meeting and Executive the best for attackers is luggage.
    2) Which Operators shine on this map? Which operators have you struggled with here?
    --- Glaz obviously and of coure the three musketeers Jaeger,Bandit and Smoke.
    3) The camera placement, how well is the map covered by defender cameras?
    ---None of the cams are useful really except the one in meeting room hallway.
    4) Objective placements, which is your favorite location? Least favorite?
    --- Meeting room and Executive are my favorites for the sole purpose of spawn trapping.
    5) Which game modes do you prefer on this map?
    ----Secure Area and Hostage are best for this map.
    6) Spawn locations. yay or nay on the current locations?
    --- Nay on all of them a defender can run outside on all of them and spawn peek. You have nowhere to go or hide.
    7) Has this map made you play the game differently?
    --Yes it made me just Rush Objective without a care in the world. I'll catch the roamers and spawn killers if not by pass him and kill the guy in the objective. Wait for the team to scramble back to objective.
    8) Map layout, what do you think of the design of this map?
    ---Awful waste of time the AirPort wiuld of been a better map with plane just a spot you could hide in.
    9) What is something that a new player should know when playing this map?
    ---- don't leave spawn right away then bolt for the plane entrance for cockpit and or back of the plane. Keep an eye out for weirdos who sits in the back of plane watching hatch entrances when they're defending meeting room.
    10) What is your overall opinion of this map? Where would you rank it among the other maps in the game?
    --Awful delete it never should of been made

    Not much you can do to improve this map but obsure the spawn points visibility

    Gotcha, so only change being to prevent the spawn kill advantage.

    They control the height advantage over us so they'll see us before we see them if glaz is dead we lose

    1) front office and bedroom for defenders
    the other obj for attackers. luggage is quite balanced.

    2) I hardly ever play castle, but on plane he shines like the sun in the sky!
    hibana, echo, blackbeard, sledge, IQ struggle here.

    3) There aren't alot of different options for cam placement... they're good as is.

    4)My favourite obj is bedrooms because you can blow the middle walls, and really make a huge obj room and block all entrances with castle, leaving only one bottle neck door open.
    attackers haven't figured it out yet. workd every time.

    5) secure area is my favourite on this map.

    6) Spawn locations. nay and yay.
    I hardly ever struggle with these spawns, but some teams can really over-use the height advantage. maybe an extra spawn underneath the plane?

    7)nope.

    8) this is a good map where you're in conflict from start to end.

    9) New players: don't rush out of cover when spawning. 9/10 people are watching or waiting at the entrances to ambush you.

    10)9/10 good map. one of the best maps, and one of the most 'unique' maps aswell.
    small, confined spaces combined with long narrow corridors, and low spawn points, little entering options. it's gives good variety to the map pack.

    there could be more maps like this. I know yacht should be like this, but for some reason, yacht is nothing like plane. I just can't figure that one out. and know alot of people who don't either.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts Dikke_Neus!

    Interesting idea for a spawn location underneath the plane! A spawn at the tail of the plane could possibly work for that as well.

    The reason Yacht isn't like Plane is because the spawns are obscured and rarely does spawn killing happen on it. Nor does running out because you would more than certain die due to the narrow pathway and the abilities to shoot from outside the map into objective and quickly to the otherside of the map on the outside.
    Example if you stand infront of casino windo you can see outside poker room window. You also can see the othside of lobby window from either side
    Unlike plane you only can really come from one side now if the made it more open then it would be playable
