For a much smaller open world (Separate explorable maps of different sizes), they were able to go more in depth into certain aspects such as the shooting mechanics. Just wait till you see the weapon loading animations in first person view, especially the bolt action sniper rifles.
Sniper Ghost Warrior has always had good shooting mechanics, even better than Sniper Elite in some aspects. Then they have shown pretty good progression and advancements in quality of games since the first one. I am really looking forward to it. Plus at the moment the pre order edition adds the season pass and some other content for free at a rather cheap price.Originally Posted by Copperhead_SG Go to original post
That's certainly part of it. Gamers like myself who used to be hardcore gamers, still enjoy a lot of the same kinds of games, but for whatever reason as we got older, the things we liked about them have changed. Some have families or spend more time working. Some have gotten into other activities they enjoy now in addition to playing games.Originally Posted by KAMIKAZE703 Go to original post
Bottom line is this: For a lot of gamers, as we got older, our priorities shifted. We still enjoy games like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six and games in other genres as well. Developers realized this and I think they've had a hard time trying to make room for both in their games. This could be why some people love what happened with R6: Siege and others (like myself) hate the direction it went, being more pvp focused. GRW being another example as it is clearly intentioned to please those like myself. I'm not really sure how they will be able to find a balance that will appeal to the more hardocre and the casual gamer. But you can't please everyone, as those who try, usually end up pleasing no one.
