This why it is so hard to open up conquerors cause you cant make them go for heavy parries. because why not? They dont need to go for heavy parries cause they get them just for blocking it. Wana solve the turtle meta? Then do something about this. The chain stop is not the problem it can stay.
yeah plz change that ubisoft, and while your at it, reduce the conquerors heavy damage to 2 and the light damage to 1, let charging up his heavy drain his stamina in 2 seconds, let a whiffed heavy randomly damage the conqueror himself, i mean its a flail, he cant realy controll it, right?
the conqueror is broken class and the most boring to play with and against
they stand there doing nothing u cannot open them , they come very close to you and shieldbash and wait you after 1 minute do the same thing again untill they kill you slowly
take the class from the roaster rework it and bring it again
it's not fun play with him or against him
needs a huge rework
part of me wishes so much of the combat in this game didnt revolve almost entirely around guardbreaks
why do most classes get a free gb after a parry anyhow?
not only does it chunk your stamina, it opens you up to further attack, guaranteed strikes and the like-- why is an uncounterable guardbreak thrown into the mix?
how much punishment do i really deserve for daring to click offensively ubi?
This part of his kit is largely useless anyway.
If you try to hit a decent player with a heavy attack, chances are they are going to parry you anyway.
And when they do they will deal 30 stamina damage and get a free GB anyway which is better than just a free gb which conq gets. Plus conq has the single weakest gb options of anyone in the game only getting a free side heavy for only 25 damage. He doesn't even get any additional damage for wall splats like others do, nor does he have stronger than normal throw options.
Giving conq free gb without having to parry is pretty fair tbh because he can't feint. So if he goes for a parry and they feint it costs him considerably more stamina to full guard block to cancel his parry attempt and has a considerably longer recover time.
Conq is complete trash now that they nerfed his shield slam. Stop asking for nerfs against literally the worst character in the game...
Tl;dr: "Get good".
LoL conq still not get punished after he misses the shield bash. Only Raider and and fast gb recovery characters can(like berserker, peacekeeper). With characters like Kensei, Valkyrie you cant do anything. It is because his after shield bash recovery is still very little.Originally Posted by Peligrad Go to original post
And he CAN feint. Read his move set, he can feint LIGHT ATTACKS. And if he defends the right direction and dashes into the attack he block is and he gets the free shield bash and that is good. Conq shield bash recovery window still needs to be bigger so people wont just spamming shield bash like idiots. They would need to use this doge into attack technique and this is how this game would be based on reflexes and combat techniques.
Conq is still and OP character. The only people who says conq is weak are those people who dont know how to use the character properly
Please tell me the combat techniques of the conqOriginally Posted by magic_godzilla Go to original post
You guys know that this guy's superior on block high-risk low reward attack does not work since his heavy is so slow. But hey at least his zone attack can make up fo... Funny how people complain about 1 aspect of this character and ignore all the other 99 problems in his move set. Well... not that many since the devs didn't finish or even test him before he was introduced. Try landing those superior block heavy's when your guard startup switch is slower than the warlord who has a light superior on block. I'm not saying conq is bad or op but i'm tired of people who mention one problem and then turn a blind eye to moves that are actually broken.
There's tons of interesting mechanics that could be done with his weapon set - successive hits dealing more damage as his flail picks up momentum, being able to soft-feint into another direction or delay the hit by swinging it round again instead of at the opponent, dealing damage through blocks or being unable to be parried, charging up heavies in full-block stance...Originally Posted by kweassa1917 Go to original post
And to the OP I agree, blocking heavies shouldn't put the defender at an advantage, let alone grant him a free guardbreak
