What I like to do is to start a custom game, pick a map where are no ledges. Pick a bot of the class that I have a problem to deal with. Turn off damage and gear stats also time limit and have an infinite training session. Bots don't fall for feints and do a lot of dumb **** so it's not really like playing against a reall player but at least you can learn counterguardbreaking and parrying and see the moveset of your opponent over and over again so it is really super helpfull to a point. Also the animations in this game are just a pure joy to watch without the annoying ROUND1 ROUND2 interventions.
Custom match. Elimination. 99 rounds. lvl 3 bots. You can mix bots up also. Some lvl 2's and lvl 3's. Choose the harder heroes to play against or ones you see you have problems with the most.
No gear stats. No revenge. I keep boosts on for the shields & health since it will let you live a bit longer. I don't go after attack boosts though.
This game does have an intense learning curve but once you start winning here and there, it starts to feel more rewarding.
The game needs a practice area. I'm surprised that a game with this kind of a learning curve doesnt have a gymnasium/dojo that you can hit dummies or fight against NPC's that dont fight back. Its very astonishing that this would be an overlooked feature considering it would be so easy to implementOriginally Posted by VraguVrag Go to original post
There is.
Go to how to play... practice, level 0 bot. Level 0 bots do not fight back and you cant kill them... they are there to hit and practice combos... then you can up the level of bot from 1 to 3.
Then you can set up a custom match against a bot of your choice, level 1 to 3... and turn damage off... or you can set it up to have 99 rounds if you like. There are a lot of practice modes in this game.

How is that not a practice area?
The bit about custom matches was for more advanced practice.

Its better to open up a custom game, select the bot and level you want to fight, set damage to zero, round timer to infinite and play on shard, until your fingers and eyes are bleeding.
Just because it's called training, it does not mean you can actually train how to defend against certain moves.
Reductio ad absurdum, my dear fellow.
