I agree the option to hide the rep level for duels and brawls would be nice.

Make it so you have a choice to leave it on or off I want to know if I'm fighting against a Rep 20+ Kensei, means this fight is going to be amusing. Rep level isn't going to stop them from ragequitting after you parried their moves 4 times in a row because they weren't smart enough to mix up their tactics. Then it just turns into people feeling you out the first round realize you are better than them and leave, Not really solving anything but I guess people will leave after the first round instead of the stare down.

I agree, or at least an option to hide it. Also it can psych someone out and lead to more quitters/ rage quitters leaving matches and wasting our time.

I'm fine with Rep lvl being displayed.

The game always uses the same loading screen for all game modes, so it's obv. that you're going to see it, but i'm either fine with an option to hide it, if it's a choice to make in the game's settings - that way everybody remains happy.

Just don't remove it straight flat out because somebody demands it - let the players do the choice if they want it displayed or hidden.

As for rage quitters wasting our precious time, i have the best idea ever about that and i wonder why noone ever suggested that before:

How about you implent a mechanism that prevents the host from leaving the match?

That way quitters could still quit, if they oh so much desire doing so, (it is there loot and XP miss) but at least the session would NOT crash and could be played till the end for/by everybody that chooses to stand and fight - how about that?

Plus i think that way the connection would also become a bit more stable in general, since the game doesn't (try to) switch the host back and forth everytime somebody leaves.

I AGREE COMPLETELY! All the display of "rep level" does, is either the other person saying they lost because you are higher level... Or worse, calling you a sh**ty player over PSN message, even though the person who "beat" you was a peacekeeper spamming lightattacks... (and you still made it to round 5).

I would like to propose to the community that Ubisoft consider removing Rep level from being displayed during Duels and Brawls. My reason for this is because I take a lot of grief from other players for being high rep level, and I don't play like a For Honor god. I play a single toon, and complete all the quests with this one toon, therefore I level him up fast. I'm not sure why others don't do this, but to each his own. Since gear score is not used in duels, I do not see the point in displaying a persons rep level. I have had players outright curse at me just because I'm higher level then they are. Sometimes I have a bad game, and my opponent mocks me for being high level. This is really ruining the experience for me, I just want to enjoy the fights and not be judged for my rep level. I almost wish I could reset his rep level and start again, so I don't have to listen to all the whining and complaining about it. Yes, I have lost to rep zero players, and I have won against rep 20's, so what difference does it make what rep level I am.
I hope Ubisoft will atleast consider this, as it will remove expectations from players minds, and let us concentrate on the fight, not a players status.

Great idea, I can absolutely second that! But let's make it optional to show or hide, so everyone can decide for himself. Best compromise for all.

Correct, make it optional in the settings and that's it.

An a little piece of advice for the thread starter:

Just ignore them and let the kids be kids - i'm a Reputation lvl 17 Warden on 108 since several weeks, all armor and weapon sets maxed out and people do the following a lot:

And i know they're not putting it up because i did good - it's just the console way to grief/trying to pull your trigger, since there's no free roam text chat window on either XB1 or PS4. (which i'm, for just once, freaking glad about actually - spares you a lot of hassle and all the "Oh i'm so gonna ******** your mother and your dog" messages in-game, everytime you execute somebody)

But do you really think that bothers me? - the reason is, no matter how high or low your Rep, people will always turn into pissy Mooses once you bested them, (and a modified loading screen with your lvl hidden, is not going to change that either) the more often you kill them, the pissier they get - high lvl warriors like us, should be used to that, by now.

If you are not, welcome to the PVP world my friend - that's how it basically is these days in any PVP-focused MMO - nothing new in town.

And if you are not playing on console but PC instead, just don't pay attention to the chat window, unless your teammates have something important or tactical related to say.

In other words, just ignore that chit/chat, delete any offensive PM's you may get without even reading them and focus on your game, that's the best and probably only thing you can do at this point - some people will never change their attitude, because you know, big ego and that.

remove it as fast as possible. the ammount of crap you get for playing one hero is just stupid. i litterly just want to stop playing over it, only insults come rolling your way.. then you can block text they say. but then i cant read my team next time.

I totally agree with Jesse, every duels start with "omg, rep 20, you must a god" or "you can go outside too, sun is good for D vitamin blablabla"
