well the thing is not all weapons and characters are equal. if every character did the same damage with their light attacks then it would make many of them useless. taking a light swing from the long sword of a warden is not the same as taking a light swing from the poleaxe of a lawbringer, and neither are the same as getting stabbed by the spear of a valk.
i will say that i think some of the light attacks are unbalanced to a degree, but not really because of damage but their stance transition speed. an example would be how fast valk can switch from a light right to light left, this simply wouldn't be possible holding a full length one handed spear in a half grip, all the shaft of the weapon would hit her trying to make that transition.
that being said, peacekeepers lights do twice the damage they should. her lights hit as hard as a lawbringer or shugoki...really makes no sense.
the game is full of odd little things though, for example...we all know shugokis GB into heavy is that golf swing move...well...when shugoki is out of stamina he cant do the golf swing and does a normal heavy, which actually does twice the damage as his normal GB+heavy...seems kinda backwards to me. not that i think that golf swing needs to be any more annoying, just an observation is all.
also, if you really go test alot of light attacks, wardens double light sides and orochis double light tops do the most damage of any lights in the game...so complaining that all the characters light attacks are overly powerful, then saying they should be like wardens is kinda foolish.
