This game is not the true Ghost Recon and Ubisoft blows, I'm sorry.
Bugs on bugs on bugs.
Complete lack of friendly AI command system
"tactical military shooter"?........ hahahahahahah yea ok!
I am a long time Clancy franchise player. I've been playing Ghost Recon since the original game in 2001. I'm so very sorry, but even the original game was far superior in its time than this game is in 2017.
Once again Ubisoft presents a game with an awesome setting, awesome story line, and a poor delivery of gameplay.
I started and finished Wildlands on the Extreme difficulty. Beat the game, gathered all weapons, all intel, all kingslay files. Yes, I had some fun while playing, but I am left disappointed overall.
The AI is dumb AF. Almost 20 years later and they are barely a step ahead than the AI in the original game. It is like fighting mindless zombies with weapons. They move around like careless individuals with not tactically maneuvering at all. Is it so hard to have some enemy AI in 2017 that work like an actual trained force and use tactics? It would have been nice to see them try to flank me from time to time.
The friendly AI were beyond pathetic. Little to no squad command system. The original game had better squad command than this. NO squad customization at all. NOT EVEN AN ABILITY TO SET WAYPOINTS ON THE TACMAP FOR TEAMMATES?
Story line and setting: 10/10
Graphics: 10/10
Introducing an open world to the Ghost Recon franchise: 10/10
Everything else is trash. Almost no real tactical feel to the game.
My recommended solution: go back and take notes from Red Storm Entertainment. They knew how to make Ghost Recon the right way. Go back to what Ghost Recon used to be, a true tactical military shooter. It is 2017, you could have taken what the old games had and make them 100x better.
By all means though, please continue with pointless micro transactions, silly outfit packs, and charging people to buy f***ing muskets.
