Warden, the UNSTOPPABLE Force
Wardens are in EVERY match where there are 4 players on each team. And if you're opposing a player who has mastered Warden you'll have to live through a nightmare. For starters their sword (from a realistic POV) is a heavy sword, and their attacks are so fast that it can't possibly weigh that much. (top light and zone attack for example) And for even more experienced warden players, they will shoulderbash cancell into guardbreak. This move is very op, as it gives them the option of either getting a free attack if you're hit by their shoulder, or a free attack if they guardbreak.
If we play out these 2 scenarios:
Warden shoulder bashes you, you try to either dodge out of his/hers way or block the incoming attack. You risk getting hit from their free attack after they collided with you with their shoulder. You now know what he will do when he/she charges up the shoulder bash move. So you will try to dodge out of warden's way.
Now, since the warden probably knows you will try to dodge out of his/hers way, he/she will cancell into a guardbreak. But since you wanted to dodge the shoulderbash you can't counter guardbreak the Warden since you just dodged.
These 2 scenarios shows us that you will have to pray that the warden doesn't cancell his/hers shoulderbash into guardbreak if you dodge, or hope that the Warden does cancel it and you're prepared to counter guardbreak without dodging first. He can choose what to do, if you dodge; the warden will cancel into guardbreak, and if you hold your ground and wait for the guardbreak the warden will simply let you get him by the shoulder into an attack.
So what can you do vs a very experienced warden player? If this is not enough proof that an experienced warden player will abuse this, the warden will also deny your top attacks. So you're options are to attack from the sides. You're VERY limited when playing vs a Warden player. This all together just goes to show how abusive and controlling a good warden is. And if that's not enough, the Warden is in every match, and is very easy to learn. If a class can have this much controll and power, the class should atleast be VERY difficult for him to pull all that off.
High risk, high reward. The Warden playstyle is low risk, VERY high reward. This needs to change quickly and balance out the Warden so those who only play Warden can't be as abusive as they currently are.
Either you remove the bash + cancell into Guard Break. Or you do the same thing they did to Orochi with his charge. Either they have to cancell it when they are standing still or not at all. And the transition between shoulder bash + Guard break is SO smooth it's pretty much impossible to react to unless you know it will do just that.
It's the most played class with the highes win% in the game! And they leave warden untouched! That, if something is partial. Warden is pretty much the favourited kid amonst the big family.
And don't comment saying "you can just roll out of the maelstrom". Yes I CAN, but you will lose SO much stamina out of it. The warden gameplay is TOO easy once you've learned it. Disgusting.
