Well against all the unblockable spammers, the PK, the warden's charge, I really do not feel all the comfortable being face to face with them since they clearly have an advantage in this situation imo.
What I do is get there, try something out, if it works try another thing until fail and then get the hell out, rethink and decide on the next move.

If a player is not top tier turtle, the storm rush gets them few times in a round.

For raider ther is no such thing as free guard break after parry. I parry a lot, and my GB are almost always countered. Free GB after parry is a LIE. Its jus a regular GB just like every other move. Can be countered, and thats it.

part of me wishes so much of the combat in this game didnt revolve almost entirely around guardbreaks

why do most classes get a free gb after a parry anyhow?

not only does it chunk your stamina, it opens you up to further attack, guaranteed strikes and the like-- why is an uncounterable guardbreak thrown into the mix?

how much punishment do i really deserve for daring to click offensively ubi?

I find who gets what kind of attack free after a GB just to be so random. There doesn't seem to be any balance to it. It might be based around the length of the weapon and "realism" stuff which if it is the case would be really dumb when it comes to talking about balance.
