As a side note: Berserk also have a deflect where they get the free guard beak without even having to press the GB button! The most useful deflect of all assassins.
***Deflect is when you jump into the attack (same timing as a parry). Orochi and Peacekeeper have to do an attack with a very tight window when deflecting. (wish it was more automatic on these 2 classes)
This is where feints come in. You use that vs an opponent who likes and does parry a lot. You feint your heavy hit in order to trick him to try and parry it with his heavy, after which you parry and punish.Originally Posted by DitosX Go to original post
As far as I know, you'll always get a free GB after parry as long as you're in range to land the GB, in most cases it's the best punish but if zerker parries your light he can get a free top heavy instead of GB which does more damage than a side heavy. same goes for Warden and probably certain other classes. nothing is wrong with this mechanic, you just have to do mix ups and feints in order to counter opponents who parry a lot.
Yes, exactly. Until couple of days ago, that was the main reason that I would loose a fight - GB in my face during my dodge. I would always try to get there do some attack or GB or whatever and get out (because I kind of suck at blocking light attacks).
The other day I finally found a solution to this problem and now I've reduced it to minimum.
My big Problem, too. Now I just stay near and CGB their attempt or block/parry/deflect incoming attacks. Going in means "commit", not "run away" after one hit in this game.Originally Posted by surr3a1 Go to original post![]()
