    Agreed. There's no way to reliably defend against PK and Valk on console. It's frustrating af.

    Especially Valk gives my nightmares. There is NOTHING I can do with my Nobushi against a half-decent Valk. I know, I know, she's oh so punishable and you allegedly can dodge the damn sweep. In reality, it doesn't work, at least on console. I can maybe block half of her lights, which means that I constantly take damage. It also means that I spend most of the time lying on my back taking heavy attacks due to the damn sweep. I can dodge it maybe 1 out of 10 times. I know it comes out on the opposite side of her last light, I know I have to dodge towards it. The thing is, it just doesn't work most of the time.

    Dear Ubi, what are the win and kill percentages for Valk and PK on consoles? Do you take consoles into consideration at all when you do your balancing?

    Its also hard to react to the nobushis light chain.

    PK, Orochi, Valkyrie and Nobushi are very difficult to react to. Berserkers are better to counter, because they have to mix in heavy attacks - they might be relatively fast but you can parry them.

    Wardens top light and the warlords light attacks is also very fast - but at least not spammy, because of their recovery time.

    We need extra frames on console. Sometimes, I can not even see the parry flash of a light attack, because the frame is lost. Add laggy players and it becomes impossible to deal with it.


    Since 60 fps is not really doable by the current console generation and buying a gaming pc monitor for one game would be a really bad joke, the game needs to be adjusted to the living room environment. Standard tv screens, standard (wireless) controllers, wifi connected consoles, 30 fps, 2 metres distance to the tv screen ... this needs to be taken into account.

    Light attacks need to be slowed down by at least two extra frames, guard breaking window needs two to three as well. The parry window of attacks need to be visible and the complete balancing needs to be done based on frames and not milliseconds.

    Berserkers is a problem on consoles too and so fast and spammy.

    Ok. Most zerkers I met on console were not a mean as pk et al ...

    But hey. Maybe I was only lucky, that they used their side attacks ... I was able to deal with them.

    Most player zerkers are not that "tough"... Since most players are not perfect with their inputs. Bot zerkers nail the endless combo every time though, and dealing with shifting guards on every attack from them is kinda tough when one has to deal with TV "lagg", controller "lagg", the guard change speed etc...

    And Nobushi is also a soddin' nightmare to deal with btw, her light chains are almost impossible to react to on console and have insane range... Third attack in light chain is unblockable, unparriable and undodgeable... at least as far as i've noticed, dont even see an attack indicator show up at all.


    Please Ubisoft, do something to make console For Honor more "playable".

    Whenever I said that light attack chains are a nightmare to react to, people said I need to "git gud" ... :sigh:

    I told you six weeks ago that light attacks are too fast ...

    Does the defensive meta impact more on PC than console were light spam attack are barely unblockable ?

    Defensive meta is reduced to heavy attacks, special moves and slow light attacks (like wardens side light).

    Blocking light spam is nearly impossible (pk, orochi, Valkyrie, nobushi in particular) and counter guard breaking is difficult (custom controller), very, very difficult (standard controller) or nearly impossible (standard controller in combination with very high debuff resistance).

    Dodging charge up moves is also very difficult.
