It depends on what you parried and against who you parried. Or vs Valky, Nobushi, Kensei, Lawbringer & Shugo you dont get a guaranteed gb every time. Usualy after any heavy attack of these.
But there are some other options, the weakest but easiest is a zone attack.
Option number 2 is a top light, which gives you a vortex.
The last option, is by knowing what you punished, you can always get a top heavy after parrying a light attack. This is realy important vs Nobushi.
In general, when you get a gb, you get a side heavy. If you manage to throw your opponent into a wall it is a top heavy.
A double side light might be an option instead of a side heavy as well, because you get into vortex, but deal slightly less damage. If you think you vortex will hit it is totaly worth it.
If you catch your opponent oos after a parry you dodge into his direction and go for top heavy. If you gb him oos you can go for a double side heavy but your side needs to be match before. (this also works with a revenge parry)

As some general tips vs average opponents:
Top light is probably Wardens strongest move. It is fast and opens up the vortex, you also got 2 more realy fast moves, the running heavy and the zone. You can mix these up, by running and a)lock on for a top light or b) going for the running heavy. I suggest to not use the zone to often.
Warden got something i call noobvortex. If you get a gb, go for heavy, heavy feint into another gb or mabye a zone
As a reminder, if your opp is just close to an edge and is getting hit by the zone he will get soaked into it. On some maps you can get a lot easy kills with it.

What you want to learn is the vortex and what tools you can use against what hero & how you counter the vortex counter, because you will have to handle the vortexcounterplays. You need to know that you can hold the shoulder/gb-button to charge the shoulder/delay it
    You got the:
    - regular shoulder followed by light. (just press gb after a light attack or a dodge. Double light string for side hits)
    - shoulder cancel into gb (just press gb after the shoulder. As an example after a light attack: light, gb, gb)
    - shoulder cancel into parry/zone/light (press feint after shoulder. As an example after a light attack: light, gb, feint. I somehow can get the timing so i always double tab the feint button)
    - charged shoulder into top heavy. If you fully charge your shoulder you get a top heavy for free! It is an important tool, i often see wardens not using this at all, espcialy in 2vs1 situations.

Every hero with a dodge attack is often using this to counter the vortex, so you need to use the shoulder cancel into parry (like every Orochi)
Often people just mash into the shoulder, afaik you just have to not delay the shoulder.

And final tip, watching strong wardens on youtube or twitch helps too. I think iskys on twitch or RihSiCk4 links on youtube are fine.

It took ages for me to get used to the game and especialy to these stuff but it realy is not that hard at all.

    ^ This is good advice.

Something I find that often works is feint side heavy into top light. Don't do it against other Wardens, you'll probably get crushing countered, but 80% of the time you'll land it (Warden top light is deceivingly quick), and then vortex. But don't lean on your vortex too much; you won't know what to do when you can't use it. And remember, if someone blocks your zone, it's a guaranteed GB, so don't spam it [note: most players don't know that].

Warden has a good throw; keep a wall handy and get them guaranteed top heavies off the wall splats. When you're more confident and can push around newer players, bait out side heavies with feints, parry, then chuck'em into a wall.

I read on this website that when you parry, if you use a zone attack it staggers the opponent more than a normal attack.

Useful when you parry a class that naturally has a long reach or quick recovery into blocking an attack.

I also find that the run into slash attack is really usefull during the fight. At the beginning your opponent can see it coming from a country mile, but during the fight, it can take them by surprise. I often follow up with a zone attack as they tend to block the direction I just attacked in.

Always be weary of your stamina. Keep distance if you are running low or are gassing. Run away if needs be.

Last thing is mix up your actions. Do not become predictable (unless you are setting up a trap!)
