I have noticed that after a GB Valkyrie's rams headbutt can be charged which off a normal GB seems to do more stamina damage compared to the non-charged version as would be expected. But if you parry then GB and do the charged ram's headbutt it does not do this stamina damage whereas the non charged version does. For example if i parry someone who is now on 30% stamina and I use the normal headbutt it causes them to become out of stamina and throws them to the ground, but if I do the charged headbutt in the same situation it only throws them back and does not do the stamina damage.
Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this, as a new Valkyrie main it is really annoying that this mechanic is not working as would seem to be intended simply because of the difference between GB and Parried GB.
I main Valk and I agree it seems a little backward. But I'm thinking the charged headbutt is designed specifically for throwing your opponent off ledges and the non charged version is for stamina drain. I rarely - if at all - used the charged headbutt because the most punish Valk can get out of it is a pouncing thrust. There's no real punish utility if the charged also drained the player's stamina.
And I don't think the charged headbutt does more stamina drain off a straight GB but I could be wrong.
It seems you're misunderstanding what is actually happening. When you parry into GB and do ram headbut immediately you're doing the stamina dmg from the parry plus the headbutt. But when you charge the headbutt the delay where they aren't doing anything or taking any stamina damage allows their stamina regen to begin and so you appear to do less than normal because even though you deal stamina dmg their regen has begun and regen isn't disabled by stamina dmg only by them taking an action.
