We should have a new character for every faction that has things like a bow and arrows as a primary weapon and a sword or something as a secondary weapon that is used like feats but can be used a lot more than the current ranged weapon feat (bow etc.) for other characters. This one can be upgraded to use different arrow types based on "feat level"
For example :
Medieval Faction - archer
Primary: Short Sword
Secondary: Bow ( on Xbox press down on D-Pad to switch to bow ,press again to go back to sword knife etc. ) can be used 10 times before cooldown. Once upgraded you can use other arrow types ( to switch arrow type press left or right etc.).
Viking Faction - spear thrower
Primary: 5-10 spears ( can be used as melee unless all have been used and does bleeding damage over time if hit by one )
Secondary : sword ( used if all spears have been used )
Japanese Warrior Faction - Archer
Primary : Long-bow 10 regular arrows unless "feat" is upgraded (uses poison arrows instead of flame arrows)
Secondary: shortened katana instead of normal katana
With all other upcoming factions you get the idea

For Honor is most certainly a melee oriented game. I could only see adding a heavy crossbow (With a winch) guy to the Knights. Have it be one of his level 1 feats. When you activate it he winds it up and then aims. While it's on cooldown he MUST go engage in melee. I still don't think even that fits the feel of For Honor though. :/

archer's concept might be an interesting idea, but from my point of view, if you want to create an archer should have these characteristics:Originally Posted by cl3ms0ntigerfan Go to original post
1- can not make GB, but the GB botton isUsed when switching from short sword to bow (or to counter the opponent GB);
2- the arc needs to load and suitable button to take the arrow (20 ammunition maximum , rechargeable after death or with special abilities);
3- when he uses the sword is an "assassin" style;
4- damage (very important) should change from the point where you hit the enemy (legs, arms head), minimum of 5 max 40;
also you can use bow out of guard mode, and you have to take aim with the bow
True but the balance of it is a longer cooldown to keep it from being too overpowered and used too much for instance for every life you get 10 arrows if you don't die before a minute or two you get more so that way it is more balancedOriginally Posted by Astrolite. Go to original post
Like I said it would be balanced based on time you are alive and a cooldown,the amount of arrows and rangeOriginally Posted by Extropy Go to original post
