    Pulpo

Perfect example of how bad the AI is in this game, hey Ubi, next time you have a mission like this please make the VIP at least somewhat intelligent as I'm 100% sure no one running for their lives is going to continuously drive down the main road into an enemy occupied city...

    Seriously

Right into the enemy, no way to get him to change his route, no way to drive him so you can take another route, no way to stow him, and I'm not even sure why we want him to leave. F Pulpo, we should either just be able to kill him or capture him, period.

One of the worst missions ever created.

    *edit*

After switching difficulty to Arcade my team and I managed to win, not without the AI again being glitchy as hell, Pulpo switched vehicles twice for NO REASON, hell he parked at the airport, then ran to another car to drive to the helicopter... then he didn't get into the helicopter and ran back to get another car!!! We only won cause we were able to kill the enemies chasing us and got out of hunted status...

Terrible mission made worse thanks to glichy AI...

Did it first time with AI on Extreme. No Problems with not being seen or him getting killed. And yes he changed vehicles twice on me too.
    Spoiler:  Show
The first thing I did was dis-able all the vehicles at his house, except the hummer with the minigun. This force his to use it. which gives him more protection.
Why he stopped and got out of it and into another vehicle is most likely part of the mission. To make it harder to keep him alive.
Glad to see you at least where able to get past that mission and on to the rest of the game.

I did it at my 3rd attempt on extreme. Did you have many skills points towards your vehicle shield Sarge? I'm wondering if this is why people are struggling with it. I had 2 or 3 blocks I think but I guess if people come to this mission as one of their first few provinces then they probably won't have that skill upgraded very much at all.

Sorry there were frustrations around that mission! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us about it.

I did that mission nearly 10 times before I managed it. I also tried disabling the vehicles at Pulpo's hideout, but shooting the tires did no good. He got into the jeep anyway.
I have the upgraded vehicle shield, but I don't think that makes a difference. The problem was with Pulpo's vehicle blowing up, not mine, or after his was wrecked, he gets out and runs to the nearest other vehicle, and the enemies just mow him down.

The mission is just really random. Sometimes rebels along the road would help, and I would play demolition derby with the SB vehicles (I used the armored one the rebels drop off for you). Eventually we made it to the airport ok. I think just giving Pulpo more health would fix the mission. It also didn't seem to matter what difficulty I set the mission to, since that controls how much damage I can take, not the NPCs.

I found it helpfull to get an Armored Vehicle from the nearby Unidad Base, or order one from the Rebels if you have unlocked it.

Unfortunately Pulpo never used the armored Cars I brought him, but you can blow up the Enemy Cars easier with the mounted Machine Gun.
You can also kill some of the Narcos down the Road before starting the Event. Saves Pulpo some Shots eventually.

But tbh, this Mission really needs a Redesign as Pulpo is buggy so often and behaves like a drunken Monkey.

This is a good point. I did the General Baro mission quite early on and it was absolutely insane when playing solo. But now that I have maxxed out all the squad skills it's way easier. Sometimes it's better to come back a bit later when you're more powerful. That said I still think it's a balance issue.

Another example of the too many "Rambo" style missions in this game. Almost as bad as "beat the clock". My only really big beef with this game.
