My guess it's a good way to attract crowd. Shady stuff which gamers, we, love to reveal. Overwatch doing it well too. " Hey you heard that "put gossip" about For Honor ?" Wet dream for each hearthbroken fans.
My second guess, their hamsters had brain chips which leaks information to the Reddit. Server Hamsters knows everything.
