Yes, fighting Valks on console is a nightmare, especially when playing characters with a short dodge and slow guard change. Personally, I find her even harder to deal with than Peacekeepers.

She's been able to do this for forever. If you've never had it done it's most likely because either A: Many valk players don't know about it because they're too busy trying to poke you with lights. or B. You haven't played against many valkyries. This has been a day one thing. Her buff has NOTHING to do with it.

Why faint, if you can just press RB?

Valkyrie is my nightmare. do you have any tips how to avoid her sweep? does side dodging works or you have to back dodge only? is it possible to dodge the shield bash after you eat that top heavy when she gets you on the ground?

FootlessRhino, that's funny. If you've seen the video I posted, once you're locked in that spam, you're dead. What these Valkyrie fanboys are failing to understand, is that you're locked in a stunned state. You CAN NOT recover to do any of those evasive or counter moves.
And Valkyrie will not run out of stamina before she kills you. In the video I have Max defense gear and nearly Max debuff resistance. Obviously it doesn't help against a broken, exploitative hero like Valkyrie.
Now, these Valkyrie lovers will also say that Warden can spam too, but if you do it three times, you're out of stamina. And warden uses light attacks that don't even equal half of one heavy attack that Valkyrie uses in her spam. Plus you can definitely counter or evade Warden's spam.

Hey mate, don't listen to RoosterIlluzion. The bloke is clueless.

Valk's sweep is a combo finisher, so she can only sweep at the end of a combo. Mostly you'll see it come out after 2 light attacks, so if you block either of the 2 lead up lights, she can't get the sweep off. But if you miss these blocks, get ready to side dodge or even CGB if the player is half decent and mixes it up. The other instance you may see it is after a shield charge, so keep that in mind as well. Side dodge works every time, you're never locked in a stunned state and Valk's recovery frames are terrible, so you'll always be able to punish her with a GB whenever you dodge it.

Same goes for the shield charge. You can side dodge it and punish with a GB. I consistently beat Valk's because I alt one myself and know what to expect. Once you know how to play against her, she really has nothing, because all her moves are predictable, react-able and punishable. That's why she's considered one of the most balanced classes.

There's a reason why you never see her get far in tournaments against top players.

I'm clueless? You didn't watch the video, did you? There was NO SINGLE MOMENT that I wasn't stunned. I was literally spammed into the pit. That's different than a COMBO.

Your posts are all over the place, I have difficulty understanding what you're talking about.

You post a video of Valk's revenge combo, but then go on talking about stamina which is a non-issue when you have revenge and Warden spam...

I'm clearly talking about Valk general play, how to deal with leg sweeps, shield charge and her mix ups.

Thanks a lot dude, this really helps. I've heard one youtuber say that you need to dodge the sweep backwards, but maybe that's because he was using Shugoki at that time.
when you get swept she typically follows with top heavy and a follow up bash, is that bash dodgeable or do I have to take it in the face and look to dodge a follow up sweep or do a CGB? I feel like I'm trying to dodge every single thing and keep ****ing up the sweep dodge because I failed to dodge a shield bash earlier. I don't meet a lot of Valks in 1v1 sadly so I'll probably end up practicing against bots, I'm really struggling to end her chains when the mix ups begin. I feel like a dummy who just stands up and falls back over and over again, lol.

The major issue with Valk was that since they buffed her, the speed of attacks is such that she can hit you before you can initiate a dodge from the follow up lights. This means you HAVE to block to avoid. That means you can't dash out on reaction, or deflect. Hopefully, for berserker anyway, this will be remedied with the 1.5 patch (still not on consoles).

In otherwords, you HAVE to block pre1.5, or spam dash before the strikes even initiated and hope you get the right direction/they don't GB you. It simply makes for an unfortunate design flaw.

The take away here is that, anytime in For Honor when a class has a light + light chain, things become unbalanced. Why? Because we you can repeat it infinity for great reward at little to no cost.
