there already is a bike that deals with trialsy obstacles, we call it the pit viper/phoenix

Though we all agree that Trials Fusion was the best Trials game of all time, the one thing that I felt that was missing from it was diversity.

I recently went to see a World War 2 movie called Dunkirk. While it was a pretty decent cinematographic experience, it could have been so much better if the director had included a few characters from the coalition of the Ascendants in the movie. One of the heroic Supermarine Spitfire aircraft pilots could, for example, have been played by a Jamaican woman, while Commander Bolton could have been played by a native American gentleman, an Eskimo, or a transgender woman from the Tibetan community.

Diversity allows for a near infinite amount of creative options. I really feel that the Trials franchise could, and in fact SHOULD, adopt this feature. I truly believe that this franchise could benefit from diversity a great deal.

Please don't mistake this post for criticism of previous Trials games.

As a representative of the Ascendant class I feel like it is my duty to speak out on this matter.

All past Trials titles have been great, there is little doubt about that; and those who say otherwise are obvious trolls who should be banned from this forum and arrested for crimes of hate; but that was then and this is now.

    The current year is 2017.

The world has changed, and it has changed for the better.

It's time for the Trials franchise to reflect this change in the upcoming title.

It's time for Trials to be diverse.

Unfortunately that's not gonna happen Rob. After Ubisoft acquired RL, the feature to change skin tone mysteriously never made it to Evo/Fusion and everyone is white by default, very telling of their views. Hopefully the next game supports multiple races, and multiple genders.

Back on the threads subject, I feel the leaderboards should be done away with. Gaming is about fun, not score. When I look at the leaderboards and I don't see my name at the top, I get really bummed out. Or at the very least take away a portion of the top players global score and re-distribute it among the lower players. There's just no reason the top 1% of players need that many global points.

A more robust micro-transaction system would be great, give us speed booster packs to buy to activate in races.
Keep the things that made Fusion great, adding the unicorn was a game changer! And the more LGBTQ friendly rainbow theme splash screen was very progessive!

I was playing Battlefield 1 the other day, and noticed that XBL supports lobbies up to 64 players. So I would like to see 64 lane supercross multiplayer!
Supercross is by far the best mode in multiplayer, it encourages fun over competition.

    Thank you.

@YIA You will always be the troll king of the Trials community. A communist leaderboard would be brilliant.

I know this is unrealistic, but I would like to have a Trials game that isn't plagued by tire glitches. That would be the only thing that would impress me.

    lol, Thanks for the compliment.

On a serious note: Just make a Trials game that makes me addicted the way I was with HD/Evo.
However if we get another Fusion, or worse, it will be good fodder for forum trolling.. so it's a win-win for me.

Lets be honest here. Redlynx set the bar too high with Evolution. HD was awesome and holds a special place in my heart but Evolution was just perfect, for a lack of better word. So anything after that would be considered a step backwards. Fusion was okay in itself but still a downgrade considering. So why have we not discussed the idea of NOT having another Trials game? Because i'd totally be okay with that.

I'm only here because I miss you. But in all seriousness, I wouldn't hold my breath for UbiLynx to release a new game that is up to par with that of HD/Evolution. I would be surprised if the next iteration is an improvement on Fusion because that's about as far as we can go. How would UbiLynx stay with its old school roots, the very same thing that capsuled Trials above all the other arcades in its heyday, without adding new features/changes that would make it too futuristic like jet packs and ****? I mean this is exactly what happened with Black Ops...look at 1 and 2. Flawless. And then they screwed it up with BO3 and nobody liked it. I mean look at Infinite Warfare.. why do you think they released it along with MW4 remastered? Because nobody would have bought IW alone and they know that themselves and STILL did it, why? Because money. Now look at Battlefield 1...everybody got back on the hype train. UbiLynx is going down the same path so can we really expect anything else? Therefore, no new trials game, no complaints from me.

Yeah I get what you're saying, I've got no faith in them either. But it's worth them trying, at least once more before turning it into a Rayman spin-off.

The most frustrating part for me, is that all the dumbing down and plastic, flashy, futuristic tripe that sucked the soul out of the game, was presumably to soak up a lot more of that casual money - but did it really make a difference?

If Fusion was just Evo 2, would it have really sold less because of all that regular, old looking wood? Or because it didn't have a (barely there anyway) storyline? Or because you couldn't do tricks and stuff? The casual players they destroyed their own fanbase to acquire would have probably picked a regular Trials game up ANYWAY, for the bangs and the ragdoll physics etc. and the hundreds of people that used to use the forums everyday and live and breathe Trials might still be around aswell. But who cares about them I guess.

Maybe there's a compromise though. They build a proper Trials game, and they should know what that means by now, and to make it more financially viable, cram it full of microtransactionable appearance items. Customisation sells and it wouldn't affect the core game underneath.
