Alright now, I used to say leg sweep is dodgeable and people just need to learn when to dodge for it ...

But, with my Valkyrie using a 100% debuff resistance helmet (which I believe reduces stagger duration?), I can't seem to dodge more than 10% of the leg sweeps coming after the 2 light attacks.

That's not right. I know I main a Valkyrie and dont want to see her nerfed too much, but I agree this is not fun.

Valk is still a mid-tier class. You won't find her winning any tournies, you know why? Because she's balanced, everything she does can be countered and punished. This is something you can't say about the top tier classes.

Her leg sweep can be dodged very easily. Maybe it's because I have a Valk alt, I know when to expect it, but even so it's reactable and her recovery frames from it are bad. She can't even get it off if you block her lead up hits, because it's a combo finisher. She also has slower light attacks than the PK, but they're weaker as well. They're easy for me to block and even parry.

Then what is she left with? Shield bash? Also easily dodged and punished. All she has is a good mix up. Keep practicing, she's fine.

I main LB and my reactions are fairly on point. Ive yet to dodge a leg sweep......ever. Ive tried on many occasions but maybe its just the timing on consoles?

That's a good point. Consoles run at 30fps, so it may make a slight difference.

I play on PC and don't have any issues.

Can you do one with a Valkyrie trying to dodge the leg sweep ??

Also, when is the dodge being pressed to avoid the sweep ?? In the heat of the action, I often find myself spamming the dodge button, but do I need to time in into the i-frames ??

Last, do you always dodge it sideways ?? Should it work if I try to dodge backward ??

This is the exact reason why you will never dodge it. Do not spam dodge or you will always get hit. There is something like a cooldown for a dodge. So when you are on the ground or just got this small stagger appears after talking a hit and if you press dodge to early, you can not dodge it anymore. I think the timing to dodge it is pretty late.

You have to dodge sideways to get the free gb, if you dodge back you will not be in range to grab her.
