    PK's nerf

    I play on console (ps4) and just got started on learning how to play as pk. As the big patch has not yet come on consoles, i want to ask pc players who main PK, how is the nerf on pk going? Is it manageable compared to the conqueror?

    The nerf hasn't made much of a difference really. You can still light spam to win.

    Side dodge attacks do 5 less damage and deflects now do 5 more damage. Only other thing that was changed was the zone attack. Now if an opponent block the first attack of the zone you get stunned leaving you open to a free GB, like the Warden's zone attack.

    PK's zone attack is still unpunishable. It's the same as before the "nerf".

    If this is actually true...then its just a minor bug that will be fixed. Its intended to be punishable and it will be.

    but the nerfs wont do anything for PKs problems on consoles. Only revenge ZA spam. and thats still possible if you dont defend it well.
    The side dodge nerf is alright, most skill levels use that move quite often and effectively. And the deflect is a welcome minor buff since deflecting before was just an unnecessary risk.

    They have said though that theyll be looking into the Light Attack spam some more and possible making changes. Hopefully its not to drastic or they buff/add some other combo or mechanic to make up for nerfing her major source of damage right now. Light Attack spam is cheesy and boring, but its effective. Simply increasing the recovery time from the second light attack to the first again is a good place to start.

    From the 1.05 Patch Notes:

    PEACEKEEPER
    Zone Attack

    - Zone Attack first strike is now set up as a light attack to trigger an interrupt reaction on block.
    - Cancelling a blocked Zone attack while in Revenge will now force an exit of 600ms preventing you from attacking again.
    - [Bug Fix] Zone Attack UI indicator will now correctly start at the beginning of the animation instead of 100ms later.

    ZA Revenge Spam: Not possible anymore because of the 600ms exit on ZA cancel, that is more than half of a second to give the defender time to switch guard to his right...
    ZA unpunishable? On block the combo is broken and you have 600ms time before the PK can start a new Attack. And it is parryable, of course this is pretty hard to pull off, but PK has not much else other than ZA + Light Spam. GB will mostly be CGB. Sidedodge+Heavy into Light is a thing, got nerfed. Now I'm trying to Heavy Feint a Sideattack to get a Deflect on their Parry-Attempt, but not alot of people fall for this...

    You missed a key word in there.
    - Cancelling a blocked Zone attack while in Revenge will now force an exit of 600ms preventing you from attacking again.

    So in theory, if someone were to not defend the ZA, the PK could continue to relentlessly spam it. However its just highly unlikely, with how well known it is, that would would land more than 2 even 1 without getting blocked.
