Explain how I can consistently counter R1 spam by Orochi/Zerker/PK 100%

Because as far as I can tell its not possible.

The heroes I use cannot PHYSICALLY change their guard fast enough to compensate.

Hmm, i play Nobushi and feel ok'ish against all but Valk & PK (console).
Don't try to parry if blocking itsself seems hard, wait for the end of a combo or some opportunity to counter. Berserker is easy to punish btw, he chains in heavies, parry those, gb, punish to your liking.
Orochi is trickier due to za and top light. Both are very fast - but only those! So Orochis on a high lvl will wait for your mistakes and punish or try za/top light spam. Makes for the most stupid fights in the game right now. Poor Orochi.

Assassins have quick attacks for a reason. Their attacks also do less damage compared to more heavy classes, plus assassins are very squishy, so if you make mistakes as an assassin, you get punished severely.

Their light attacks are also quite different. While PKs and Berserkers enjoy fast side attacks, Orochis only weapon is top light, so guarding top solves at least half of your problem. They are not quite comparable, as orochi is actually the weakest of the assassins.

Are you kidding me fking assh0le? Are you really comparing the OPgirl and the Zerker infinite sh1t sides/top combos with the Orochi????????
An orochi will never be able to normally hit with R1 from a side as its a ****ing slow motion hit. Fk u, for people like you complaining for no reason and comparing all the assassins like if they were the same they are never going to fix my character.

Its not on console. At least not light ones.

Gamers already have better than average reflexes but at a certain point, you simply hit the borders of human physiology. A nerve impulse dues not travel at the speed of light because it is a neurochemical process, that involves Chemical reactions. At some point, you simply can not react faster anymore.

If you are playing on console, additional factors are making it extremely hard to block light attacks of a certain speed. Interface lag, network lag, input delay of the tv screen, input delay of your controller, skipped frames, double frames (two identical frames in a row) .... etc. etc.

If an action reaches a certain speed, you can not react in time, because of biological and technical limitations

You are aware that Zerkers don't have any light spam ability at all right?

Their chain is light, heavy, light, heavy etc...

Ignore the 1st, 3rd, 5th strikes etc... parry the 2nd or 4th as those are heavies..... Not that us poor Zerkers normally get the 2nd, 3rd or 4th hit in against a decent player, We are normally parried on the second.

If you're getting battered by infinite chains... you suck

As a LB, I prefer to let my top guard open so most assassisn (especially Orochi) will try their top light attack, so I can parry them and wreck them with Blind justice. So against PK and Orochi, I let my guard on the right side to counter their ZA.

If you're playing someone like a raider vs a pk light spammer you have to back off and re-engage . You simply can't block them all because the game is stupid and isn't normalised.

It's not a great solution, but it's all you've got.
