    Ahh... the ever windmilling rotor, just like the windmill:P Interesting idea but rarely mentioned. I wonder what the drawback is that autogyroes don't get further developed? Or maybe there are modern autogyroes, which I'm not aware of?

    Hmm I think I recognise that autogyro arcadeace. It looks like the autogyro that's currently residing at the RAF Museum, Hendon.

    Great things these gyrocopters

    The rotor provides the lift - I even think it turns from itself (unpowered), effectively giving a Huge wing area

    Nothing secret about it though its even a commercial type - they were cheap too...
