    Leave Rage Quitters Alone

Nobody is obligated to be your punching bag in this game. Nobody is obligated to play in any way that they don't find themselves to be entertaining, because that's what this game is, entertainment.

Nobody is obligated to play, nor should they be. Adding in a "leaving penalty" is the quickest way to ensure the death of this game by alienating players.

Furthermore, quitting out is sometimes the only real punishment that a player can inflict on another, it's the singular most desperate attempt at communicating that the conditions that brought on the quit was one that was perceived as unfair and un-fun.

This is my case for Ubisoft to NOT implement a "penalty" for quitters.

Then use it as an opportunity to learn not as your last ditch effort to inconvenience the person beating you. Hell I was utterly destroyed by a Rep 14 Nobushi for two entire matches but instead of getting upset and throwing a tantrum I used it to try and figure out exactly what I was doing wrong. Didn't win by a long shot but I at least had the decency to wait until the matches were finished instead of leaving my opponent to be bored to death with a bot. A increasingly severe penalty would help alleviate that kind of repeated behavior.

Hm.. sound like you'd be the willing b!tch in prison. The guy who just accepts it and bends over and gets his sh!t pushed in without a real fight.

$5 says you learned nothing and only served to end up aggravated or demoralized after getting a$$ blasted by a Noboshi.

In any case it's not about decency, it's about gameplay and the rights of everyone to play this game as they see fit. Your dollar isn't worth anymore than my dollar, and I sure as sh!t don't believe in a penalty for choosing not to play against other opponents. Hell, the cheating has been so ridiculous lately, why sit through it just to be their punching bag? At least if you bore them to death with a bot, they'll get bored enough to stop playing altogether. It's a last ditch middle finger to bad gameplay conditions.

No Im just a guy with the brain power to realize getting pissed at a game means nothing. If you cant handle it then dont play simple as that. Come back when you have the maturity to take a loss.

Argumentum ad Hominem and Straw Man arguments man. Try to formulate an opinion without resorting to logical fallacies.

The quit function is there, it's there to be used, for good reason.

1: People aren't always going to be able to finish a game, real life happens.
    2: People Disconnect
3: It's nobodies obligation to be your punching bag
4: Nobody is obligated to face a loss and already receive the punishments of no exp gain, no steel gain, and no equipment loots.

Well the quit button is getting removed and for good reason.

The fact is, the game is unstable AF. People rage quitting can and will crash the game for everybody else, this is why penalties will be implemented. It's happening, it's a done deal.

Is it so hard for people these days to finish what they start? If you don't want to play, then don't play. If you want to play, then play. Stop inconveniencing others. You're playing this game with other people, you're not playing solo.

I've heard every excuse under the sun at this point and the only reasonable one is real life happens. That's why I suggested a time penalty, that way when real life pops up, you're not penalised unfairly. I'm tired of having my time wasted because for whatever excuse, someone felt the need to rage quit and crash the match. No XP, no steel, no loot, no order progress, just wasted time. Why should I be penalised for someone elses actions?

I don't think I have ever seen someone defend rage quitting...
The problem is many people just rage quit from getting out played.... That's what happens in pvp games, there is a winner and there is a loser, if you are the loser, it does not give you the right to quit and potentially disband the match all together and ruin things for everyone else.. People also quit so the loss wouldn't count on their W/L record.. That isn't right no matter how you spin it...

So I'd say either go play Player vs. AI or don't play a game since you can't handle losing....

    This is idiotic.

You know what's not fun? Going into a duel with a rep 20 Orochi and watching them be the cheapest ***** to pick the class. You have no chance, because their experience with both the game and their class has far surpassed yours.

At that point, the only sensible option is to leave and try for a better opponant. There -is- a case to be made, to hold off on a ragequitting penalty before the matchmaking gets reworked.

The system does not give you the right to use me as a punching bag.

I refer you to the example with the Rep 20 orochi.

And if the game is unstable, that's Ubi's problem. Not mine.

And yes, what if, for some reason, my game starts going nuts, or my computer starts going nuts, or the game locks up, or any other technical issue happens, and I need to stop the game to take asessment of the damage? What then, genius?

Institute a cumulative steel penalty that clears once a match is completed. You start losing steel at increasing rates, until you complete a match. That, will limit the problem, and not **** over people for having compy issues.

    I'll back a rage-quit penalty when there is a vote-to-kick option in team-modes.
