How do you avoid conquerors shield death loop? | Forums

Most conquers I fight spam their unblockable shield rush followed by a light attack and loop that combo until I'm dead. I know I can dodge it initially but once I'm caught in said loop how can I counter? Can't seem to block the light attacks in time

You can dodge the Shieldbash following the Light Attack, however in my experience it only works 50% of the time. So yeah, good luck, they're a pain to deal with.

I'm not sure about other characters, but on Peacekeeper you can dodge the shieldbash following the light attack like secrecy274 said.

It's got some pretty tight timing though, so it might take some practice to get used to.

Dodge the shield rush and then block the light attacks, don't try to dodge the lights. They'll either run out of stamina or realize it's not working and go back to being a turtle

I have a lot of trouble with this as a Nobushi main.

I guess I need to work on timing my dodge just right, as right now it seems that if they land that very first rush I'm pretty SoL

yea just dodge the shield, though sometimes they activate the magnet shield so it smacks you regardless. I swear we need to invest in leather armor.

Trick is to side dodge, not back dodge. But like others said timing is the key.
