I know this thread speaks specifically of buffs to the kensei but I'm having trouble understanding some of the mechanics that the kensei apparently has which is the "Superior Block." Does anybody have any concrete info or definition on what this is? I've heard mixed things and I can't really wrap my head around it other than I know that it's a block. As part of the patch his "Superior Block" is going to be nerfed a bit but I didn't realize or noticed he had a "Superior Block."![]()
Ye, it's definitely much over the top. I can agree that it was somehow too safe with 1000 ms, but hey, leave us at least some possibility to block light attacks this way. Let it be hard with strict timing, but still possible.
Not a single patch without something being taken from my dear Kensei, cheesus![]()
But,but now you can dash and chain to your 3rd hit of the combo and your side lights are faster and blah blah blah. Literally useless in high lvl play.Originally Posted by Kitsune.. Go to original post
One safe opener is what i ask for. No tweaks to dmg, speed or the rest. I cant stand the fact that most heroes out there have relatively safe openers (some even completely unpunishable 50/50 actions) and here i sit with a "sword saint" only doing top lights and feints.
thank you! I've performed these sorts of dodges but didn't think the stagger was part of the Superior Block, I don't agree with them reducing the time in which it has active frames though. It's already difficult to try and dodge unblockable shield bashes at times let alone find more openings, guess we'll have to stick to more heavy feints and guard break spams until we can create one.
