    I tried that, yes its good but a bit boring
    Go capture the nearest zone to their spawn and proceed to slaughter them wave after wave.

    If you are defending a cap, and an enemy contests it, and you kill him within the cap... you get quite a boost to your score.

    Standing in a zone adds to your Renown score fast as others have said, but also when you then leave that zone and do something, you get extra score for it because you built up a Renown 'bank' when you were standing in that zone. If you go and kill some Minions after standing in a zone, the Renown bank comes into play, and instead of 2 per Minion you will get 20 or 15 or 10 per Minion, for a short time. This is why you should always stay in a zone for a while to build up your Renown bank. This is also why some people with few kills and Objectives can have very large scores.
