Can someone please explain dominion scoring?

Had all 3 control points for about the first 2 minutes of the game, had a score of 600-100. They pushed B and captured A for about 20 seconds, and immediately started beating us.

Somehow over the course of the next minute they managed to break us, despite only holding the points for a very short amount of time, and us having a boosted point the entire game. We capped B back and broke them, then won.

I'm just trying to figure out how the scoring system works, and how we managed to lose almost 400 score from losing 2 points.

When the a team caps a point they gain 100 points opposing team loses 100. Capture 2 and that is a 400 point swing.

For each zone you have captured you get a temporary 100 points added to your score, so after you lose 1 control point 600-100 turns into 500-200 lose another and its 400-300 and so on. Killing those AI soldiers in the middle also gives you extra points, as well as killing players.

That's a little ridiculous that in 2 caps a team can take the lead after a 6-1 lead against them.

What I don't understand is how come the guy that has less objectives, less kills, and same death count gets more score then me?

You can get a pretty good score just by sitting and defending one objective the whole match, or killing tons of soldiers, or revives.

If you defend and boost a zone all game you can easily get 300+ points without doing much besides standing still.
