On a scale of 1 to PeaceKeeper how good is Kensei right now? | Forums

He is not bad, have some cool tools, able to make big dmg, fast guard switch so little bit advantage in parrying, good dodge. Basically he have little bit of everything but not best in any aspect so he is somewhere in middle ground but he get a buff soon so mabye after that we can see kensei in higher tier

He's about mid tier. Here's a list on how I see the characters as an Orochi main

Low tier:
12. Raider
11. Lawbringer

Middle tier:
10. Beserker
9. Kensei
8. Orochi
(These can be switched around as they are about the same in terms of strength)

High tier:
7. Valkyrie
6. Nobushi
5. Shugoki (May be top tier, depends on opinion)

Top tier:
4. Warden
3. Conquerer
2. Peacekeeper
1. Warlord

This is just my opinion of course, but I think alot of people can agree this is about right (with a few changes per person)

Have any of you high rep Kensei's noticed any changes in the last month or so? The guy i play with mainly is a rep 12 kensei and has reduced his play time dramatically the last 4 weeks saying that Kensei doesn't feel the same anymore?

I would say about a 5 or 6, he is good, but require actual skill do to well with.

Kensei is my current 'get everyone to at least Rep 1' project and he's awesome one minute and not so awesome the next. For me it depends on whether or not my enemy lets me have the time and space to get the Unblockable Heavy out or not. The foward dodge into GB into Throw into Ublockable Heavy is a really nice combo if you can pull it off. Would give him a solid 7 out of 10.

On a scale of 1 to peacekeeper? Id say Warlord. That sounds about right. Especially after this update.

Once you cant cancel ZA, PK will be dropped from top tier immediately. but that only solves one problem. Once people complain enough about PKs light spam continuing shell be nerfed even harder and be made unviable.

Id take just about any other hero as a main over PK right now.

Because its his turn for me to level him to Prestige one and I am consistently wrecking people with the same 2 combos.

Wow...
That Kensei used a total of 5% of his entire kit, no feints, no parries... a AFK farmer perhaps? I doubt you can reach that level without learning at least something.

Yea most Kensei i run into either try to spam unblockables or try to throw me

The big top heavy is easy to parry and well advertised but now players are canceling that and doing a side attack. And there is some really complicated zone attack thing going on as well so confusing to face that, just stand there thinking wtf?
