    How to counter shugoki?

I cannot seem to be able to take down any. Their hyperarmor negate almost all the game mechanics which is a problem for a lot of classes. Sure you can remove it with 1 hit, but that's what they want, so they can trade hits and start chains to toss you around . You CANNOT combo a shugoki, most player will blocks or parry any attack you attempt after the first hit, and by the time the parry animation is done their hyperarmor is back. Even if I parry one, same problem: THEY.DO.NOT.CARE. You'l hit once and they'l chain you. And that stupid demon embrace, I know it's avoidable but I don't always think about and sometime in the heat of a fight, you want to finish him off before he tries anything funny and he does this, 1 shot kill. It should not be a thing IMO

Any real suggestions?Consider people are not computers, in the "heat of battle", you don't always think about all the delicate special things you can do to take them down.

Start with a fast light combo, do the heavy then cancel to a gb. ZA cancels

    Like this.

    Light, heavy, canel heavy, gb

    Button combo is

    R1, R2, O, Square

    Or xbox
    RB, RT, B, X

    Hand grenades.

Or a high calibre, full automatic rifle, with ammunition, that produces large exit wounds.

But they can still counter GB. If they block your first light it becomes another problem too. Some players don't let anything pass as the defensive turtle. It's the class I have the most difficulties to counter, everytime I see one on the other side I cannot help but *sight* and wish for a surrender option lol.

Fake them out. No ones defense is perfect. Heavy feint into gb works very often. Just dont do it frequently.

If he is playing normally, you will have a chance. If he is just spamming the 50/50 run charge, well, good luck

Firstly, if you dont care about the incoming nerf, get Conq. Conq gets free GB's off blocking all their attacks.

Secondly, if not, learn to parry lights. Third, and this is the big one, learn when their gonna do the feint game.

If your talking about Shugoki cheese where they just charge and ****, there is no counter for that, ubi has to conciously screw that or ban the people doing it.

Or they could make oni charge cost stam, it's ridiculous that it doesn't cost anything. charge over and over and over....

By the way, it's a 50/50. So they can just do the oni charge, but if you start dodging, well then they can just do a GB instead and catch you while you're trying to dodge. GG

While I'll agree the Oni charge is a bit ridiculous, I find the shugoki to actually be quite predictable. They always start with the charge or an unblockable in my experience. I main valk so how I handle them is to usually dodge the charge or unblockable or try to parry it if I'm feeling confident. Then I go to do a heavy, cancel Into shield bash and they takes away the armor. Once the armor is gone I can interrupt with my top light, but it always comes back so quick. And then I normally cheese them and try to vortex with the leg sweep/bash etc til I'm almost out of stamina. Run away repeat. I try not to play like that in general as it's cheap and not really fun, and I don't like when people do it to me but with the shugoki it's literally the only way I can reliably beat them. I have more problems fighting them then any other hero for some reason so I have to. If not they normally will keep grabbing and use me for batting practice or oni charge. And once their health is low in definitely don't let them off the ground bc they can one shot.
