    Different balancing for different pattforms

I've noticed that a lot of pc players say that certain attacks are very easily blocked/parried, while the console players appearently have a hard time achieving that goal. Does this have anything to do with the different framerates? and if so, Would it be possible/make sense to balance the console versions in a different way than it's done on Pc?

I am afraid, it might be something, to think about.

30fps are ok for most games but this is not one of them. Add skipped frames and lag to the mix. Even if the bots start spamming light attacks in local games, it is sometimes very "demanding" to keep up. The only good thing is, that the bots are not as cheesy, as some of the players. Nonetheless, parrying light attacks on the console is a really hard thing and an achievement by itself. I would say that it is dangerous to make balancing based on it.

Maybe there could be two rulesets.

One for 30fps locked and one for 60 fps and above. If you can not reach stable 60 fps, you get locked at 30 on pc and have to play according to the 30 fps rules. Just like console gamers would.

Do you not already suffer for it? 30fps on PC, must be as old as my PC :P

Something needs to be done for console versions at least, said it before many many times. Not that the devs give two ****s about it. A game balanced for 60fps does not work properly at 30fps. Sure the animations may take the same time, but the indicators appear much later compared to 60fps PC. So the 200ms reaction for a GB counter, for us on console AND TVs is more like 150ms... Well, that is conjecture... Fact is the indicator appear very late compared to the PC 60fps... Same with every other attack.

Playing For Honor right now on 30fps is virtually unplayable... Its a ****ty situation for those that will not reduce themselves to cancerous light attack and GB spammers. IMO, a way that is not at all fun to play.

Well, it is new, but it is a laptop so I cant really ask for more. I suffer it, but if they balance it in consoles and no in pc, what will happen, it will hurt me even more, hehe.

Whatever, it is a issue to address.

Its bad. Especially, if you add lag but even local botmatches are bad. Fast attacks are nearly impossible to react to, if done by fast hero.
