What do you all do in the time before a match and in the moments after?
I main a peacekeeper, I make it a point to do the knees emote at the beginning before the round begins and if I have bled the enemy out or used the sacrifice execution.I used to do it while they were in the process of bleeding as well but I nearly lost a round to that. If they are standing off and not doing a lot I might throw out the unimpressed emote. All of these look pretty hardcore with the light effect though I am thinking of getting the darkness for the assassin-y vibe.
I love the bow of Nobushi, so if possible, i often open with it. Ij the end, it is about how i feel. Fought a hard victory? Victory pose. Kinda stomped my opponent? I bow to them, because I dislike being obliterated myself especially with a "good fight" after you got cheesed to death (headbut spam for example). So i hope after showing them some respect as a player without "unintentionally implying stuff", the loss doesn't feel as bad.
Besides, i only use "good game" when i lost a round, if it gets replied, i thank for it.
It may be my personal opinion about it, but opposed to fighting sports, in a game like a million little things can go wrong that you aren't going to influence. Lag, slightly mistimed something, maybe just being lucky, whatever: not every loss or victory feels like it should be exactly that. So if i habe won, it is for my opponent to say if he did enjoy the fight regardless.
I often use the Wardens salute if I won the match, or as a sign of respect, such as having most of my health taken very early on or when the score is 2-2.
I also use the victory cheer from the warden when I have won at the end to make the opponent know who is boss (usually I end up with egg on my face after but still).
If things are not happening I use the sword point to get them moving. Some even think it's an attack lol!
PK main here.
Pre-battle in a mode with a 1v1 setup to start, I do the "You're Dead" emote.
After the match is done if I feel like we both tried hard, I'll "Good Fight". If it was an exceptional fight I'll actually type how good a fight it was and possibly why. If it was one or the other of us playing like complete wankers, I'll just be quiet. Maybe start the "Dummy" emote and cancel it after the sword flip. I like to flip my sword around after a fight.
